    So the New Holland has a door that opens out.....and yes you have to be mindful of where the boom is when you want ot get out of the machine....but you cant break the door off as the machine wont operate with the door open. I've got the NH C345 and it is great. I looked at the Kubotas and love the sliding door.

    I would pull your carb off and split the halves and check the faces to see if they're flat. Those carbs have a bad habit of warping at the screw points. If it's warped it'll leak gas at the seam, and it'll leak air and make the carb not work correctly. Congratulations

      U might try adjusting the idle screw and the other screw on the carburetor. Those might help with the engine. Also what was the tractor used for?? The previous owner might have adjusted it for that purpose or if kids drove it. Just some thoughts.

      I was told it came from a cabbage farm

    • @FloydBlack-xi8fh
      @FloydBlack-xi8fh 7 днів тому

      Then it probably didn't need much throttle. U can adjust it to ur needs. They might have had kids driving it while they picked the cabbage.

    If you need to get rid of the oil a lot of your parts house like Oreillys, autozone, advanced auto usually take waste oil as long as there isn’t too much water or gasoline in the oil.

    Wish I had a winch sometimes. When ever I cut a tree it always hangs up into another tree, never falls to the ground. Get as close as I can with tractor and pull it till it falls. Sometimes tractor has trouble pulling it free.

    Just found your channel. First time watching. OMG is that a HUGE auction! I would love to go to a sale like that! If you are thinking about a 6620, you should definitely been in on that one. It looked good, and that was dirt cheap. And the 6620's were good combines. There were some really nice 7000 JD planters there too. That four row was really nice. That one New Holland square baler you stopped at for a bit was nice. Don't be afraid of a New Holland square baler. Probably better than the Deere. There were some nice older International tractors there that probably went dirt cheap judging by what the stuff sold while you were there. That newer Case Magnum that sold for $48K was definitely a big steal! Which part of the country are you in?

    • @shaffershomestead
      @shaffershomestead 17 днів тому

      @JulianKeller-om6wz 17 днів тому

      @shaffershomestead ok.. just curious because you don't see sidehill combines very often. I didn't realize you have that type of farm ground in PA.

    • @shaffershomestead
      @shaffershomestead 17 днів тому

      Some locations are worse than others , not to bad on the farm here however there is 1-2 locations here that it wouldn’t hurt to have the sidehill

    What I like to do with my timing marks is to clean them well, mask off the area, and then hit the balancer with a contrasting florescent spray paint. As soon as you spray it, wipe the balancer off so you're only leaving the paint that's in the timing tick marks. That way, the timing marks will just about glow under your timing light. Nice series, and you've got a good approach to things.

    Stay away from the twine balers and buy a wire tie baler. The wire tie balers are easier to work on and have less moving parts than a twine tie.

      Those are actually grade 5 bolts, when they have 3 hash marks on the top of the bolts for SAE they are grade 5, 5 hash marks is grade 8. When you tighten those down they will probably spin but just stick a flat head screwdriver between the head of the bolt and the casting of the wheel as you tighten the nut and it will hold still. I enjoy the videos of the 460. How is the 530?
