Congrats to both of you on the engagement, the joy and happiness truly radiates off you two 🤩 Absolutely love this cozy but very real and raw vlog. One reason why I appreciate your videos so much is because it feels like we are on this mindfulness and self care journey together; I love seeing you figuring it all out as you go and being willing to embrace the chaos of life! Also, as someone who tends to struggle with seasonal depression due to the darker weather, I really appreciate you helping me see the beauty of the autumn. Here's to nature walks, cozy reading days, and lots of good, nourishing food. Cheers 🥰
Congratulations 🎉 Love the cosy vibes! And well done for persevering even after the chair incident 😂 As a control freak, I think you're right that a big part of self-care is just letting go and going with the flow, just doing what feels right in your heart and makes you feel good. I struggle with that, but hearing you talk resonates with me, and I love your mentality. Also interested in where you get your crystals from?? I need to grow my collection
@@mojopie thank you Eilise 🫶🏼 😂 Like I said I have it all on camera so maybe it will make a vlog one day! Yes! I agree and also find it hard sometimes. I think that’s why I love all of these little self care practices that help me organise my thoughts, emotions and also help let go. I love what you said about what feels right in your heart. That really lit up something in me and is the most wholesome statement… which is word of the month clearly. Thank you so much for your lovely comment and for being here 🤍
@@mojopie ooo I actually used to sell crystals with a friend. I can see if the supplier is still trading and send you the link. I used to get a few on Etsy too
@@mercedes_hall wholesomeness is always the best, but there is something about autumn that makes me crave it even more! ❤️

Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful insights and recommendations. I have been in a bit of a rut myself recently and my daily yoga and meditation sessions are not really cutting it at the moment, so I am 100% going to work this into my day and start manifesting those positive vibes. So right now, I am incredibly grateful for you sharing this video 🥰 (oh and my lovely doggie is currently laying next to me on the couch and comforting me, so that's another thing I am beyond grateful for. Gotta show the furry friends some love) 🤩
@@esmayrosalyne thank YOU so much! Sometimes we need to change up our self care and wellbeing practices don’t we. I love that you’re doing daily yoga and meditation, I should definitely try and implement more of this into my routine! I’d love to hear how you get on with the gratitude practice and we’re here for the furry friends comfort, dogs are just the best! Thank you so much for sharing this, I’m so grateful you’re here 🫶🏼
@@mercedes_hall Hope you can get back into a rejuvenating yoga/meditation routine again, it really is such an integral part of my day and always helps me recenter. I've been practicing the gratitude exercise every day since watching this video and you honestly said it best in the video: It's like magic! It's so beautiful to see how much you can do with your mind. Do all life's problems suddenly vanish? No. But these types of things help you focus on the bright sides and enlighten new ways to deal with the darker aspects of life. Thank you so much. I am here to stay in this beautiful community! 🤩
@@esmayrosalyneI started meditating again yesterday and it feels so good! Thank you for reminding me and inspiring me to get back into it everyday. I’m so happy to hear the gratitude practice is helping you. You are right, it doesn’t make every problem disappear but it’s nice to have a practice that can change our perspective and how we feel. Thank you so much for your lovely words and being a part of our community on here 🫶🏼 have a great weekend!
@@mercedes_hall Oh that makes me so happy to hear. Even just a couple of minutes of meditation can be so powerful, enjoy 🥰 And thank you so much, hope you have a lovely weekend as well!
Once a yr. I RE-evaluate a notebook of lists. Goals, bucklist things I'd like to achieve, what made me unhappiest, what made me happiest. What I have the power to change, what I can let go of, and things I am grateful for. I like looking back and feeling good about changes and seeing personal growth. It may not be big, sometimes is just something minor. Halfway through the year, I do a check-in. I actually schedule it on my planner. In the mornings, daily affirmation and a short list of gratitude is something I've begun to add along with a nice cup of coffee sprinkled with cinnamon. 1. I am grateful for my home. I woke up today, with a roof over my head, breakfast in my near future. 2. I am grateful to have a job I love, with decent benifits, and supportive coworkers. 3. I'm grateful for my husband, family & friends. My support system is strong. 4. (This one was for just today...) I am grateful for a few extra $$ to preorder Fury of the Gods Today!🥰 Seriously, 6 hours ago before sunrise & ☕️ here in Maine my Amazon cart went "chaaaching! 💸 📚" 😂😂😂😂
😊 In a previous post I mentioned making some wellness changes, and much of them are similar to your own when it comes to selfcare. I would like to add more goals, but I know myself enough to roll it back because I just need to focus on 1 or 2. Its September atm when I'm watching this video, and in July these were just thoujghts ruminating as I healed from the busy school year. This month I have a follow-up with my Personal Dr to disscuss my new focus med to see if it's something I wish to continue and I've made an appt with a therapist to explore my relationship with food. Since these are 2 big things aside from adjusting to new co-teacher, and our new PreK littles, I think I may have enough on my plate. For now. 😊
I think it’s great that you’re in tune to what you need and when it’s right to set goals and when it’s best to keep it to 1 or 2. But hey, 1 or 2 goals is amazing! it’s very important to reflect on what we need and not overwhelming ourselves with too many goals. It sounds like you’re doing the right thing for you and listening to what you need which is great. I hope settling back into the new term is going well for you 🤍
@mercedes_hall thank you! And yes, the new school year is going well!
I used to journal often, but I have noticed there are big gaps, and it's usually when something hard is going on, and I'm coping in other ways. As far as Manifesting... I think I this has happened for me in a few ways 1st was my car, and a trip to the Outer Banks North Carolina... my parents assisted in getting a used vehicle, and we had postponed our family girls' trip that year indefinitely due to Covid, so when I received the key a few minths later, I named my car, Sweet Caroline. 🚗 ❤ the trip was memorable. The 2nd and most recent... was this past spring... I had just found out my lead teacher was leaving the position, so when someone came to sub one afternoon during lunch & rest-time we chatted, I instantly got a great vibe, and he mentioned he'd put in an application... I looked at him and said, "I'm manifesting it right now. You will get the job, and the PreK school year is going to be amazballs!"... so far, it's got a steller start! I think it's safe to say that I'm an in the moment manifestor. However, atm I'm making some wellness changes so pehaps another tool would be something to consider.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Newly subscribed from Adelaide South Australia
@@sallywhite1012 thank you so much for being here 🫶🏼
Subscribed! I really liked how you explained that Gratitude makes you feel better. The book "Deep Work" claims that our mood/attitude/view on life is determined by what we pay attention to, and for me that holds true 100%. (And might partly explain why focusing on things to be grateful for, literally makes us feel better... and therefore even more grateful... a self-reinforcing loop of goodness ^^)
@@beach_lion thank you so much! I love the loop of goodness!! 🫶🏼 I will definitely be looking to read ‘deep work’ that sounds like my kind of book so thank you for sharing.
@@mercedes_hall Oh for sure! It's one of those books I put off reading for years because I figured the main point was in the title, but I was glad I read it. Another book by him you may like is "Slow Productivity: The Lost Art of Accomplishment Without Burnout." I liked it because I'm prone to getting tunnel visioned, and sacrificing important parts of my life in the pursuit of productivity -- but without even hitting those aspirational productivity goals. Might just be a personal "skill issue" as we say 😎 but I loved that book too.
I’m grateful that my love of reading came back after many, many months of no reading (a symptom of my depression) and that I have a remote job where I can read on the clock if my work is all done.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m so glad to hear you’re back into reading again and I hope you’re feeling better. Thank you for being here 🫶🏼
I always plan just before sleep. But yes, gratitude I imagine would be a more peaceful mindset to help me actually doze off and feel less anxious! ❤
Absolutely, gratitude before bed is the best. If you ever have a chance to read it, The magic is so helpful with different ways to practice it and I’ve been looking forward to each day. I have to say though, I do love to plan too and I love a list even more!! 🤍
@@mercedes_hall planning is great if I’m in a positive mood, but if I’m feeling anxious, gratitude seems like a better way to rewire my thoughts ❤️
@@bookschocaholicyes! It’s always good to be self aware and understand what we need in the moment 🤍

I think having a make up reset is actually really helpful. Makeup is supposed to help you feel better about your appearance, so if your old products don’t match your current vibe there’s no point in keeping it and “making do”. Dancing around with babies is the most therapeutic thing I think I’ve ever experienced! Glad you’re feeling better, I hope this upcoming week treats you well! ❤
This is so true! I think we should all have regular resets so we feel our best. You are also so right about dancing around with the babies. It’s the best thing ever! Thank you Faye. I hope you’re having a great week! 🤍
I would share books on self-development and manifesting if I had any. I used to! But for years now I've been talking with someone who channels, and I read and listen to other people's sessions. I don't know how popular that kind of thing is in the UK or whether that's of interest to you, though. It's become more popular in the US in recent years!
@@mrose4 this sounds very interesting. I have a friend who is very intuitive and love having sessions with her… that’s probably the closest thing to channeling that I’ve attended but not quite the same 😅
After a period of stress, I recently used a family vacation to get back into shape too, except that I knew I'd be uncomfortable enough with myself on it to really get back into my routine afterward haha! My routine is pretty much back to normal now and feel that my body has structure again (always nice lol), strength, and vitality. I want to make breathing exercises a habit again. And meditation. Those are on my list for this month! Have you tried using resistance bands? I don't go to a gym and they're great to use at home. I have a few different types. One I use outside hooked up to a fence, the others I use inside or outside. You have a beautiful garden, so I just thought I'd mention it!
@@mrose4 family holidays are always a good motivation aren’t they. I’m glad to hear you’re feeling good in your routine. I would still like to make breathing exercises and meditation more of a habit too but I’m sure we will both bet there! Such a good idea about resistance bands! I’m sure we have some so will dig them out once the weather here sorts itself out and we can get in the garden. Thank you for the tip! I hope you’re having a lovely week. Mercedes 😊
I might have been stressed from the humidity and family visiting, and reminding myself to breathe and meditate when I wrote that comment. 😅 We'll get there! 💗
July feels like the busiest month of the year so far but it’s been wonderful already. Love this video and thank you for the shoutout darling x x
I kinda just want to listen and absorb what you're saying! Ahh it's obvious you know what you're talking about through experience. So cool. But let's see... I like the simple method of setting an intention and allowing it, when I can do that. I've done that with receiving money, interactions with people... I think for me, being in motion physically while visualizing and talking to myself aloud is my go-to. Like driving or walking around my house while imagining what I want and speaking it aloud. Underlying I keep in mind the power of perception and how that literally creates my reality. I love what you said about adopting habits that support your intention. That's such a good point. I learned that as "being in harmony with my desire." All those little things we do are interconnected!
I love all of this! Your comment has made me realise that i definitely do this more now with talking out loud and when I’m on the go too. Sometimes you have to when life gets busy. Now I’m a mum I have less time to just sit and journal, script and meditate when I’m still so trying to implement it in a different way. Thank you for reminding me it works like this just as well and there’s so many ways of doing it 🤍
I’ve never heard of this exercise before. It’s a really good idea though. I’ll have to give it a go. ❤
I’d love to hear how you get on! 🤍
