Greenwood District Studios is a resilient business that has undergone significant changes, transitioning from a brick and mortar establishment to a renewed focus on music. Despite these changes, the company remains steadfast in its commitment to creating a safe environment for young folks to learn show business from a DIY standpoint. The studio pays tribute to the Greenwood District of Tulsa, Oklahoma, which was tragically destroyed during the 1921 race riots that ravaged Black Wall Street. This dark chapter in history has been minimized or forgotten by some, but Greenwood District Studios believes that it is essential to remember and honor this legacy. With a renewed sense of purpose, the company is working hard to restore its former glory and earn back the place it once held in recent history.

What all does Greenwood do in Michigan?
Hey - Right now since we are not in a brick and mortar anymore we offer production services and creation. We have the equipment to shoot television or a film, content creation etc. We also mentor aspiring filmmakers with hands on opportunities that arise in our current production slate. Right now our hot ticket is our music division GDS music which just signed a sync deal. The goal is to OWN our next brick and mortar situation and build GDS as it was meant to be.
