    Hey Jess..im in the US. How would you suggest overcoming a potential client that works with agencies BUT only works with preferred clients 1st..but I know Im an expert in the space with tons of experience?

    • @jessicakimber
      @jessicakimber 28 днів тому

      Hey Ryan, I would work out what happens if they have to go outside of that process, whether there are any roles their preferred clients don’t recruit/struggle to recruit, whether they have exclusive arrangements in place (if not; their agreement does actually mean much!) and whether there’s anything they wish they could get through their providers but they don’t currently. I’d also find out how they decide who is added to the preferred supplier panel, and when it’s up for renewal. You can then try and build a relationship in the coming months. If you know any leaders in the business attend networking events, you could try and get in front of them that way. I would be focused on finding out the answer to this first and then adapting my pitch to fill the gaps. Focus on getting just 1 role on and proving yourself. You could even try a reverse marketing strategy if you have enough information and know what they look for when hiring - that way, they won’t have to wait for their preferred clients to deliver. Good luck!

    Is this the very first cold call? Or is this a call with someone who has already indicated that they are considering your services?

    • @jessicakimber
      @jessicakimber 3 місяці тому

      It could be either, it depends on how far you get into the conversation. On the very first call there’s a good chance you’ll only get a brief conversation and book a follow up but if your client really needs help, or there’s a level of familiarity of your services (personal branding) and they know they’d want to work with you in the future, you could follow this through to the end on the very first call

    Hi, I'm working as a Recruitment Coordinator at a cleaning company. I have to hire cleaners for various offices/clients. Is this role similar to recruitment consultant? I don't have any other HR working above me. I have to handle all recruitment related work. Can I see myself as a Recruitment consultant after few years in this given company situation.

    • @jessicakimber
      @jessicakimber 3 місяці тому

      That sounds like the role of an internal recruiter - often called a talent acquisition specialist. In recruitment you can do 360 (agency) or 180 (internal or just deliver within an agency). Your skills are highly transferable into an agency but the main difference would be you’d have sales targets to win new business in an agency. You wouldn’t just be given roles to work on, you’d need to sell and pitch your services and negotiate terms and then fill the roles. There’s pros and cons to both but one of the best things about becoming an agency recruitment consultant is the earning potential. If you don’t mind sales, find a great business who will train you on the sales side. Because you have 180 experience you’ll make placements quicker than others

      Its like just leaving it down to chance. It also depends how far you are into your journey too because your first few months you’re in brand awareness phase so your goal shouldn’t be to convert, it should be to generate awareness around your services. Once people know who you are you post differently to then move them through the funnel - this is the consideration phase. I’m so glad you like the templates! Let me know how you get on with them and how much your impressions increase by 😄

    Hi Jessica! Thank you for this great video. It was really insightful as someone who is looking to jump into the recruiting industry. I was wondering though if your strategy might also translate well if you're placing mid-senior level candidates? Temp hiring is very fast paced, so I am curious what you think!

      Thank you for your feedback! Community groups can be used for all levels of role. They’re great for transactional because of speed. However, they’re also great for having a pool of people who you are consistently building trust and rapport with in a “non-salesy” way. Everyone will become a candidate at some point!

    If you start talking emotions, i’m not taking the job. I just know that work culture is shit. What you do is a description of the job, what you’re ACTUALLY looking for in a candidate with clear cut language, a description of the job (and if you don’t know-ask someone. Don’t make shit up and pile the employees on with work later), and, most importantly, a fucking salary. I’m not applying unless I know I’m not going to waste my time. Most states regulate that you state the salary anyways, and I will be asking in the interview. If you don’t state it, I’m not accepting. Being straight up helps both of us and fosters better working environments. If you’re not getting applicants, it’s because you’re not paying enough. If you can’t afford to pay enough, make connections with people who will, linkedin is not the answer to all your problems. And if you still cant find anyone to work for your shitty wages, maybe the business should fail. That’s the free market for you.
