I live in Cobourg and it’s a dead beat town

The El was absolute garbage the first and last time I was there. Food was bad and the service….. my goodness! There were maybe aybe 2 other groups in there and we were 45 minutes for our food.

I’ve been to Cobourg twice for festivals, both times they were absolutely dead. Nobody there. The Main Street is pretty but lacks life, best to give this town a miss.

McMansions built out of aspenite and homeless people on opioids.

Pretty town but loaded with aristocratic bylaws and insane parking fees and penalties. Their bylaw officers are like cats ready to pounce.

Don't go into downtown Cobourg at night. The woke town council prevents proper law enforcement

The Cobourg homeless camp provides convenient one stop shopping for opiates and stolen property

They do not care how it impacts a neighborhood. Where I live in Florida our city council has duplexes and stack n packs going up like crazy all owned by corporate investors for rent only....no ownership. When asked about the impact on traffic...the council member said "not our problem..that is county" Well no votes for you. People need OPEN SPACE to be emot6ionally and psychologically healthy...not smashed together...unnaturally. While it mat be convenient to have stores and fast food close, it is no substitute for mental peace. Moving to Tennessee for open acres or SC if any is still available...big guys like Gates buying up farmland and massive acres may be too late for me.

It was the "prettiest little town in Canada". Atm we're going through rapid expansion, from 11K population to 25K to 30K by 2051 thanks to Doug Ford. The golf course has been dug up, turned into housing. The central green area at Barker's Bush has been flattened, trees all cut down for more houses. Huge new subdivisions are added on all sides. Downtown now has some huge appartment buildings that don't fit in with the cobblestone center. Welcome to gridlock until maybe we get a 3rd bridge over the Grand River by 2051. And beware of Coyotes grabbing your pets as their habitat is dwindling. Also we ran out of class rooms, now have to ship kids to Burford and Glen Morris next school year.

Sorry, but Grimsby looks and sounds super boring. Nice for a one day trip, but I would lose my mind if I lived there... When a library branch, a high school and an annual dog show are the main attractions featured in a promotional video, you know it's not the most exciting town.

Beautiful Bronte always has sights or sounds or people doing wonderful activities. Just getting way too crowded than what was a beautiful traditional quaint town to visi now busy, crowded and over run with too many people. Sorry but I have heard this from a great number of people that grew up here or lived here for many years. Way too many cars parking on our quiet neighbourhood streets and heading for a quiet secluded park with loud group playing volleyball saw the license plates and they were from afar! So sad!

Yes- heritage. Even a 30 year old tree can be considered heritage. Forced by town councillors it becomes real. Real ly insignificant.

Haha loves this video this is where I live and since the pandemic haven't been out that much so this is cool! I got to see my sisters school and for the people wondering about some changes since this video the building on the corner beside the post office burnt down like 2 years ago and near the lake there a few taller buildings and they are planning on making a 22 storie one!(about twice as big as the other ones).
