Very nice but not medieval. Some renaissance and even early baroque I would say.

The expression on the faces in Italian paintings is some kind of fine wrinkled authority of a Christian dragon. But in Norwegian paintings of the same time there is no such thing. We are dealing with holiness that damages the body.
