Ostranauts - How to Loot TF out of OKLG and Make a Secret Lair
Переглядів 8137 місяців тому
This is a quick guide to surviving the early game... namely by stealing everything in OKLG that isn't nailed down. Also how to claim a portion of Port Azikiwe for yourself, so you can stash all the JUMPER CABLES and CARBON FIBERS you could ever want. And finally a quick FYI about how to abuse the gig system for FAT STACKS... at the low low cost of maybe half an hour of your life. Note that - ov...

Ostranauts is a fairly-realistic postapocalyptic space rpg - think "The Expanse" with fantasy elements. I will show you how to not suck.

What's going on between Akkalat and Odokh?

What on Calradia is going on here??? It looks like about 10 caravans at a time will become hypnotized and do nothing but go back and forth between these two cities. Can anyone spot a pattern? I just don't have the spoons.
don't need to sleep that long, I had a sleep bar over half way, slept on and off. minute or two IRL at 16x speed and got it down again. i hacked myself out of airlock without owning a suit LOL
Not entirely true that you only need a weber torch and a drill. You need an angle grinder to restore weapons, any sort of soldering iron to restore your weber torch and any screwdriver/drill to fix your drill. Also a prybar or a katana, machete or cutlass to pry open doors.
I like that you are able to override the engine safety and destroy not only your ship but also most likely the whole station when they dont let you undock haha
build a rail mod when
Ive seen it mentioned on other vids but this is my first time at your channel and im pretty new to the game so i could be missing some stuff but i feel a pretty big one you missed for the Rare Salvage event around the 12 min mark is that with the patient trait (1 year, or alternatively the suit maintenance on daily grind i believe can give it too) you have a risk option for taking the hydra regulator. With it being such a rare piece that was one thing i reset for a few times as i had a bad string of risk chances but normally it seems to pay out.
I wouldn't bother risking or going out of your way for the Hydra regulator. You'll see at least a dozen of them in a full playthrough and the marginal benefit of slightly less space usage is really not worth the hassle. You can even buy one from the smuggler when it comes up in inventory. The gambling ship, on the other hand, it unique and totally cool (and comes with a Hydra regulator too). Your mileage may vary! Have fun the way you want! =)
singlehandedly carrying me with these btw
I'm glad! On my honeymoon now, but I'll get another up next week.
ooo congrats on the marriage!
great video, but its really quiet
Thanks for the compliment and sorry for the suck! Would you please let me know if the latest video I dropped this weekend is better? I tried to make the audio less obnoxious.
The nerd castle 17:09 @splattercatgaming reference?
I'm not familiar. If it's something in the game, that's a question for Dan. He's somewhat accessible in the Discord if you want. You can see me come in every 3 months with a slew of bug reports and then a (more polite every time) ragequit.
My ship spin too fast! I don't know how to make it stop and just quit at the early stage of the game.
Press R to stabilize rotation. Ideally you press a and d in very short bursts to adjust your nose.
some light editing would make this way better
man, buy a new mic or pump up the volume... cant hear shit...
Pumped up the vol in my latest video. Lmk if it's good now?
This is great, would like to see more.
ARS Astroglide is a pretty slick ship.
Game the system and have someone else's phallus in your hand while your character sleeps.
Your voice is low my friend
Thanks for the heads up. It's a struggle getting the audio to get my voice and not get my gross breathing. I'll work on it some more.
Great ,Hope you do more than just two episodes of Ostranauts as they were both very enjoyable
Wow I really appreciate that. These are my first gaming streams ever so I'm glad that there are humans out there who enjoy them - who even leave detailed enough responses that I'm 95% sure they're not bots! I'll try to get back on it. I'm playing the latest alpha of Starsector right now. I'm about bored of it, so soon enough I'll switch back to Ostranauts and get you some new content <3
@@YourAJ1776 hope to see you make more content soon ^^
One thing to add, it is always worth looking into the bins and racks on derelicts. You can sometimes find real valuable stuff in them, like an EVA helmet, or a Weber Lazer Cutter, or still-valid Salvage Permits.
Agreed. My most recent playthrough I have found three Bingham EVA suits, a Weber Lazer Torch and all kinds of other good stuff. You can actually start with a pressure suit and get all the gear without having to buy it. If you get hacking skill you can get into most of the doors on K-LEG, and there are crates with random stuff in them. You can get lucky. There is a spawning point on K-LEG near the trade terminal where dead or dying crew appear. You can strip their bodies and sell the helmets and pressure suits, check their pockets too. PDAs can have data that sells really well with the black market fixer.
Regarding Skills: Software Engineering - You get that by doing King Incognito - RISK - Hack Them (Success) - Require Hacking. Persuation - You get that by selecting "start a riot" in King Incognito. Regarding EVA Suits, you also get that from "Occupational Hazard" - "Take the Stick"
