Our unmedicated HOME BIRTH Story! A positive birth with helpful tips.
The home birth of our daughter told from three different perspectives. We chat through the pain relief techniques and mindset tips that allowed me to stay focused when I went overdue and labour started with my water breaking. This was my first unmedicated birth and I compare it to my first which was in hospital with an epidural & pitocin.

hell naw 💀💀💀 firstly: this is a tantrum, not a meltdown secondly: you're giving in to the tantrum by hugging him thirdly: he's way too old to be breastfed and way too young for screentime, especially if he's watching an overstimulating brainrot show like blippi 💀💀💀 edit: btw you don't need the trigger warning for a crying toddler

If I ever have children, I would teach them that temper tantrums over not having their way will not result in having their way. I’d just put on noise cancelling headphones, and ignore the tantrum until they run out of energy every time they do it until the child learns that temper tantrums are useless. I would have a saying to children “The dentist will drill your teeth if you keep eating all that candy.”

This is so beautiful, this is a child that won't struggle with independence or transitioning to greater responsibilities with age. Beautiful work.

Can you please link the portable nebulizer as well as the electric sucker you show here? Or at least name which exact devices you purchased? I’d like to buy them for this coming winter. We live in Buffalo, NY… enough said. 😂 Thanks in advance!!

Great job Mama! I always try so hard not to yell but it’s going to happen. The most and only important part of that is apologizing, forgiveness and mercy. ❤

When a child is literally screaming for personal space, you can put them down, instead of picking them up, while crying. Infants cry for something, toddlers often scream because they want space. You can tell by the way he starts pushing or head-butting you when you pick him up. Other signs are screaming “no” or “noooooo” and after age 2-3 some toddlers might yell “stop!” “Go away” or “put me down!”

I’m so glad my mother would spank me when I would misbehave. 2 times in my life were i can remember she discipline me with a spank or two and honestly I can say that I deserved it and I come from a very Hispanic household so that’s pretty normal way of being taught and it taught me to behave and learn that my actions have consequences. I love my parents and cherish them every single day 🥰.

I’ve had two home unmedicated water births and second time my tens machine and playlist and curated birth space were sooo helpful. Definitely recommend them! And birth affirmations! I found ones I connected with and printed. I had looked at them enouug they played in my head.

I'm going to be the first one to say it, and I hope I'm not the only one. Your midwife did you dirty. Your feelings, your emotions, your choices, and your CONSENT are important. She had no right to ask you for a cervical check as soon as she walked in the room especially if you had clearly communicated your desires and goals ahead of time. You have ever right to be upset by that. Your cervix is not a crystal ball and it does not tell the future. I didn't have a single cervical check our entire pregnancy or during our home birth. They are not necessary at all. You had every right to stand your ground and your midwife should have stopped asking after the first time you declined. You did great!

For all the people who insist on abusing their kids, just ask yourselves. “Would I be comfortable with a teacher, stranger, sibling or babysitter slapping and yelling at my child as discipline?” If you answered no, then keep that same energy for yourself. If you answered yes, don’t come with ur crocodile tears when your kids hurt themselves or ghost you when they turn 18.

If a kid is still learning and is too young to understand, there's that. Sadly, that's not always the case. It's different when a kid is doing something that they absolutely know is wrong.

I've been seeing ur UA-cam channel recently. I'm 20 yrs old in college who honestly has a long time before I would be having children. But recently the thought of marriage and children has been bothering me. I feel like I may be never be able to raise children, but I also feel like I would regret not having kids in the future. I loved your techniques. You make it seem that it can be possible. My parents are loving but yelled and sometimes hit me as a kid. I'm honestly terrified of dealing with toddler tantrums because of this reason and because it's such a shaky area to touch upon in a child's mental development, if we are not careful it can cause irreparable damage. But your techniques and the way you teach him things has made me realise that maybe it's not impossible afterall and I could probably consider children in the future. I love how you teach him to do tasks and how you and your husband establish boundaries and teach your toddler manners without hurting him in any way. I do have loads of professional aspirations for myself but you made me realise that children can be a boon and not a bane. Thank you so much for giving me such an unique perspective and I hope ur children grow up happy, smart, disciplined and healthy ❤
