If you don’t mind disclosing, what state are you in? I’d love to live in a large retirement community and be able to cruise on my scooter all day!
I retired in Hot Springs Village AR.
@@groesbeckI love it and love the cruise in the GT1… debating on my next scooter purchase and this is near the top of the list.
Would you mind telling me the actual dimensions are from the deck to the handlebars and width and length of the deck if you have time? I seem to have trouble finding those measurements online and in contacting Segway they seemed way out of proportion. I'm almost 6'5" and 180 lbs. and am looking for scooters that I would find comfortable. Thanks and it looks like a nice area to reside in.

Great video! I just unboxed mine and did the check thru/set up, got it on the special pricing thru Segway, very impressive build quality. I did however notice that when first powered on, it showed 23 miles on the odo, it appears to be brand new/never ridden, just curious about that. Only slight disappointment is the hill climbing, it was at only 65% charge but really struggled to pull me up my long steep driveway, it is very steep though and I'm 210 lbs, my 500 watt Yadea Elite Prime barely climbs it and almost comes to a stop, the Segway slows down to about 3 mph, I'm hoping at a higher state of charge it'll do better. I had a Nami Klima Max, that thing rocketed up my driveway like it was nothing, only reason I sold it was because I wanted a larger diameter tire, maybe I should have sprung the extra $1400 and went with the GT2, still happy with the GT1 though.
My scooter arrived with zero miles on the odometer. I tip scale at 205, and have no problems with hills. Fully charge the scooter then try that hill again.
@@groesbeck Yeah, mine has issues, for every mile I ride, it adds about 10 miles on the app odometer, I did do all the recommended updates, I've reached out to Segway about it, they want me to send them a video, I'll have to do that but it's no big deal. As far as climbing power, I guess I'm used to the Nami, the GT1 managed to climb my driveway but slowed down to about 7mph (full charge, race mode), it is very long and steep, as long as I don't have to walk, I'm okay, what concerns me is that if I arrive home at about 25% battery, there's a good chance I'll have to walk it up my 1200 foot long driveway, probably going to sell this one and grab the GT2 after I get the odometer situation sorted.
What’s the real world range on Eco mode?
Castor, it's based in part on your weight, combined with the terrain your use, more hills less distance, in my case about 31 miles.
I did enjoy very much! Just wish was a little longer with more information about the range in eco! Thanks warren
Warren, it was getting very dark when I did this quick test, since then I get about 31 miles, based on my 205 lbs., and some hills.
Wow!? You’ve sold it to me,Amazing! Thanks very much for your reply!!
Diane is doing very well, her symptoms of snoring and sleep apnea seem to have disappeared. Thanks for asking.
Thanks for the video, how are you? How did the surgery work for you. Thanks 10-31-23
