TBC Shockadin Azrael PVP 2
2007 TBC original footage. Spelldmg holy-ret build aka Shockadin. Spelldmg 1100 - 1200
For those who remember The Burning Crusade it was the first time for Horde players to be able to play as paladins so naturally everyone rolled pally or some other BE class
This was the Shockadin's golden age. Very few played it since you couldn't do anything with it but annoy people but the way the spec tree was setup at the time you could exploit some powerful combos in holy and ret that boosted spelldamage considerably. Some shockadins even used twohanders for that AP + spelldmg combo instead. Powerful stuff
Player ususally struggled to counter the holy-ret setup. The awkard timing of attacks, burst dmg, strong heals, good defence and the usual paladin shenanigans of wings, divine intervention cd (full health and mana), bubble 10secs-stun 10secs and silence 3sec ---best interrupt in the game at the time.
let me tell you, the burst dmg alone could one shot anyone in pve gear. Video doesn't do it justice, I had really no equal on my realm except the top tier raiders with arena or s6 raid gear or players that I'd dueled on several occasions and learned to counter the shockadin. worst enemies for a shock was shamans, locks, frost mages, survival hunters - anyone that can kite really and mana. you'd eventually go oom and pallys didn't have any mana regen except blessing of wisdom - manaregen on melee attack.
The mount on the video was a rare mount that dropped from the first boss in karazhan. Don't remember the name but the drop chance was 1 in 400 at the time and the instance reset every 5 days... Lucky roll on our first try. Good times!

Azrael PVP 3 This video was made over a decade ago but never released and ye the quality is shit, I know ;. Footage is from first days of Wotlk release. Played shockadin build in tbc, when they reworked the talent trees I switched over to Retribution for a minute :)
