1st teaching position and my para has been there multiple years ... got a grant for motor equipment and because of space it's in our room ... As a SPED preschool teacher, it is so difficult to hand off students to another school for kinder with a detailed IEP with the needed accomodations and modifications listed, just to have them call me wondering what to do with the kid. I mean, did you even READ the IEP?

I wish any of my teachers would have read or paid attention to my IEP, maybe I would have done better in school instead of being too stupid to exist.

I’m a long time Special Education Teacher and I will recommend this information to colleagues.

I have 2 small scotch laminators so I can double laminate! Laminators are cheap at Walmart and on Amazon.

These are great task bin ideas. I am looking for ideas to incorporate task bins this year in my classroom.

I guess I need to go back to the beginning and watch this series. I missed a lot of good programs while I was still teaching. (Language arts involves A LOT of time spent grading.) I'm retired now and learning about Two and a Half Men, Friends, and Mike and Molly.

Thank you. I can’t believe that you teachers in the US spend so much of your own money on ESSENTIALS. As a teacher in the UK, things are getting worse, regarding resourcing. However, most of the thousands of pounds I have spent over the years, has mostly been on EXTRAS for me and my students. Educators, anywhere in the world, should not be expected to spend ANY of their own money, to do their job! 😢

as someone who was in special ed (i am an asperger with the "Analyse by observation" skill) i can say you need to learn the key "word" of each of them as well as their favorite relaxing trick.

Thanks for your video. I'm a homeschooling mom of a son with autism. Is there a book, or any resource material you could recommend to help guide me in teaching him important functional skills? I listed a few to work on prior to your video but you brought up so many that I didn't even think about. I also realized that some of the things I'm already doing with him could be considered functional skills, but I wasn't viewing it that way. Any advice you can offer would be appreciated. Thank you.
