The House That Screamed (Spanish: La residencia, lit. The Residence), also released as The Finishing School, is a 1969 Spanish slasher film written and directed by Narciso Ibáñez Serrador, and starring Lilli Palmer, Cristina Galbó, John Moulder-Brown, and Mary Maude. It follows Señora Fourneau, the strict headmistress of a nineteenth-century French boarding school for girls where the students begin to disappear under unusual circumstances.

Loved this thank you!Soundtrack releases this week,not sure if i love the movie as much as i liked the movie wifh commercials i grew up with,thank you again!
I had never seen this one before, while it was a B movie, anything with Lee and Cushing in it is always a treat. This film had a hint of Lovecraft's horror from beyond, unexplainable and seemingly unstoppable, it was well done even if the special effects were low budget.
There was a similar movie with Cushing called "Island Of Terror" you should check it out too and thank you for watching.
Watch the beach dancing part at 2x speed and play Yakey Sax. It's hilarious.
An interesting chat. It did seem to reflect the end of the optimistic sixties. There was a great radio play broadcast in 2010, "Vincent Price & The Horror of the English Blood Beast", which explored that relationship between Price and Reeves on the set of this movie. I remember seeing this on TV back in the nineties or so on channel 61 in the Philadelphia PA region. Back then, Channel 61 showed obscure horror films during the day, and at night it showed new movies but required a converter box to make the picture visible and the sound audible. It was an early attempt at dish TV or cable without the cable.
We had a similar converter box in the 80s (in Miami) and the channel was called ONTV. By 1984 we had regular cable TV. Till Death was a movie I had never heard of till a friend of mine told me he saw it on The Chilly Billy Chiller Theater from Pittsburgh back in the 80s.I found this copy on UA-cam. I wish there was a better version around. Its not a great movie but has an interesting feel to it and a couple of cool scenes.
I remember seeing this on TV many years ago, now i have the chance to watch it again. Thanks for posting these great old horror films.
