Although we own our own system, we cannot pump beyond 3.2 kilometer. In order to get manure applied to this field, we called Meinema Custom Farming. A total of four pumps and 5.4 kilometer of hose has been used to cover this field.

The 2018 growing season proved to be challenging. We have been able to put up enough feed for our cows, even tough drought, hail, smoke filled skies, early frost and snow battered our crops. Poly-C farms is an agricultural operation located in Ponoka, Alberta, Canada. Although dairy is the main source of income, we do some cash cropping and custom work. Why total 5 pumps were needed for only 5,4km of hose ? Such pumps should perform well alone for at least 2-3km easily and with great capacity if 8" hose is used as supply. In Europe, Ukraine - they used 5 pumps to pump 20km distance for drag hose and 6" supply hose and each pump had around 4km distance. On the 20km side reached around 150m3/h then. And each pump only 290hp Doosan engine. American Cornell 4NTHB pumps
Four pumps in total. We deal with altitude differences and altitude here. More pumps running at lower rpm saves fuel.

I like your video music as well. What size are the 1st two pumps in the system, hose diameter and GPMs?
I believe they run 13 liter john deere engines with about 600 hp. The first pump is a force feed pump and is smaller. The supply hose is 8” and the drag 7”. They pump about 3500 gpm.

That's a serious pump with 4 pumps running, I assume your using Cornell pumps they seem to be the pump of choice over the pond . Nice job and video.
