I'm thrilled to introduce my new song, 'Snow Plow's Rumble'! This vocal-driven track was created using the Native Instruments Maschine Plus, where I recorded five vocal tracks layered at various pitches. I applied a range of effects, including 'Gate', 'Maximizer', 'EQ' (with a complete bass cut), 'compression', and the VST3 Raum dream hall for added ambiance. I also used pitch correction and quantization with enhanced AI modeling. All recordings were captured on the Tascam 2488. A bit about my background: my journey into digital sampling began in 1989 with the purchase of an Ensoniq EPS, a groundbreaking 13-bit sampler that was adopted by iconic artists like Michael Jackson and the Pet Shop Boys. Although it relied on floppy disks for storage, this innovative instrument was a game-changer for music production. Unfortunately, owning unique and futuristic equipment made me a target for theft, but it didn't deter me. I've always been passionate about state-of-the-art music production gear. Some musicians might view using modern technology as 'cheating,' but I believe it's a great tool. So advanced recently it is even more fun than relying on old tools like Auto-Tune or Melodyne. As a hobbyist music producer and semi-ok musician, I'm constantly amazed by the accessibility of apps that can replicate the sound quality of million-dollar studios.
