New Guinea Pig Roast small
February 2001 I attended a pig roast at the catholic mission in Mendi, Southern Highlands, Papua New Guinea. This unedited video shows the entire process from killing to eating. Yes, it has a violent segment when the pig is killed, but this is how it's been done in the highlands for thousands of years.

FLW's Falling Water
Переглядів 60 тис.17 років тому
March 17, 2007. A surprising spring snow at Falling Water. The music has been changed to a youtube provided piece.

RIP FLW Greatest Architect Ever
La casa sulla cascata.
I looked up the music. It is 08 II. Adagio Cantabile from Piano Sonata No. 8 in C Minor, Op.13. I was correct, it is named "Pathetique".
@Jacksloveinbloom It's a Beethoven piece, but I don't remember the exact name. Probably a piano sonata, it might be named Pathetique or something. If I get a chance I'll check and post the name of the piece.
@MrDanilorcastro I think Mr Wright has earned his place in not only american but in the world of architecture as a master craftsman. Fallingwater WAS used by the Kaufmann's from 1937 to 1963. In 1963. Albeit a weekend home. It's not perfect, it leaks it needed 11 million bucks in fixing up but it is an icon and that you cannot take away from it.
remarkable...I want to visit this place so bad.
I've been there. The critic on Ken Burns feature about Wright, got it right. It makes you want to sing a song...there are no words to describe it.
right..i mean wright was way ahead of his time like other great architects of his time..and the technology didnt yet existed to analyze these design of falling water..in my opinion its not really a matter of design flaw that caused the structure to have such problems but it would fall unto the material fatigue..i mean 70+ years is a pretty long time..and you should expect to already revitalize the structure..
LOVE the house, just add a water turbne for electricity!!
You're right about the reinforcing, they talked about it during the tour. The steel beams supporting the concrete 'trays' were too small, resuliting in the sag. The living room floor was opened for the rework and had a plexiglass cover. So, they weren't hiding the defect, they were showing the public what they were doing about it.. Too many people want to analyze a 1920s problem with 2009 technology. If someone disagrees I will ask them to analyze today's work based on 2050 knowledge...
heard they did some reinforcing work on the cantilevers above the river area cuz that part started to sag to much due to material wearing thru the years..i think they used cables or such and had to close down the area...think that was in the 1999 or so..wonder if it changed some of the original features prior to the revitalization work..anyways i find architecture a much more soothing art to look at than paintings...thanks for the vid..just loved this masterpiece..checkout also salk institute
Sorry, but your judgement is in error. There is nothing fake about my video. It's a little bit soft because it's compressed. The only special effect is some slow motion during close ups of the water. I had a different piece of music here before, but was asked to change it and use something from the public domain from youtube. I shot the video, I edited the video, I posted the video. I know it's real. I'm not going to say anything else to attempt to change your mind.
Photography is only allowed inside the house during a once-per-day session in the morning. The house cannot be seen, even in this distant view, without taking the tour. It is in a secluded area some distance from the road. As you can see the forest is dense, making the house invisible from the road.
Too bad its mildew city right on top of water !!!!
What a sick sick sick house - have always loved it.
VERY nice, especially choice of music.
