Sophie’s Sweden 🇸🇪
Come visit Sweden with me ☺️
Tilas stoll
Join me when I visit an old mine, Tilas Stoll. It's a really beautiful place, both the mine and the surroundings. I wish the video showed the beauty better, but this is it for now. I will invest in a better camera. And maybe go back during winter, I think that will look cool with everything frozen.

Surströmming
Join me when I tell you about a smelly Swedish tradition. Surströmming, the world's smelliest fish. First time I'm near when a can is opened, I brought a friend also and he loves to eat surströmming. I did not try 🤣
Visiting an old silver mine
In this video I go to an old silver mine that is filled up with water. It look like a blue lagoon. It's 220 m deep and not recommended for swimming. But I couldn't resist. 😆 A bit cold but other than that very nice. Better than the old limestone shaft I went to last year.
Falu copper mines
In this video I'm visiting Falun and the copper mines they have. Very impressing and interesting. I walk in the mines and show you some of the surroundings on the ground. 🙂 I give some information but of course there is a lot more to learn, but this is not a documentary, more of a short peak. I had a great time and I hope you will like the video.
Visiting the Vikings
I go to a viking village and look at the market, I row a viking ship and try some other stuff like shooting with a bow. I had much fun and I think you can tell by my many smiles. 😀
Staying in a treehouse
I went to spend a night in a cozy treehouse and I'm showing you the beautiful surroundings and the cool treehouse. It is located in Värmland and is called Bluesberry woods. I booked it on Airbnb =) I think I will be going back.

Swimming in an open limestone shaft

A short video showing you a trip I went on last summer. Took a little swim in an abandoned open limestone shaft. Very nice, and I'll go to another one this year to I hope. =)
Fort 118
Join me when I visit an old military fort from the 1940s. Well preserved with trenches, bunkers and shelters.
Lurö
Join me when I visit the island Lurö in lake Vänern, Swedens biggest lake. I recorded this last summer, my first film. I really like this island. But the water was freezing, as you will hear when I scream in Swedish. There is a lot more to see on the island than what I show you so if you have the chance just go there ☺️
Volvo Amazon

Showing you my beautiful Volvo Amazon and giving some information about her. I love this car!
Örebro Castle
A short walk through at Örebro Castle. Filmed this last summer, so the sound is not the best, but I'm learning ☺️.
Your fascinating videos make me smile a lot.
Looking cute. Cheers 🥂🍷🥂
I'm an optical illusion. Someone should make a museum about me - and my cat Bear. He's super cool.
I knew a Viking once. He was a cool dude. We'd hang out. He had a boat, too but it was just the two of us so we didn't get very far. We lost touch. I wonder what happened to him?
05:42 "But here you see my friend, going in on No. 2" It's "No. 2" alright.
Very interesting place. Hard to imagine people digging that out by hand. Thanks for the video. Stay well and be safe.
Missed opportunity - you should have interviewed the sheep. Sheep are a great resource for interesting facts.
@@justinblumberg8101 I know, I’ll promise to do that next time 😆
@@isophie86 👍
There seems to be such a long history of mines there. Thank you for the video.
@@revvrie4725 Sweden has a long history of mining ☺️
I have never tried it, but i have tried lutefisk. People still make it in Minnesota and Wisconsin
Who ever eats that shit need's their head's looking at, that Is Insane and disgusting
I ate surstromming two years ago. It smelled like Satan took a dump and clogged the toilet, but once I got over this, I really enjoyed it, especially with red onion, sour cream, and cherry tomatoes on bread. I actually felt sorry when the rest of the group decided to end it and throw away the rest of the can. I can only wonder what it would have been if I had some beer on the side. I bet it would have been great! Too bad it's pretty expensive in Romania, and almost impossible to find.
That is band group nama abba
omfg i can smell it from here ...🤢
🤣
You are not even trying it? :D
@@-tyhjaarpa no 🤣
The best there is 😋
The Germans never invaded Sweden during ww2. They just drove right through because of the smell.
Cheers 🥂🍻🥂
Tjenare! Trevlig vlogg 😊.
I wonder how smelly it is. I'm from Indonesia and we have smelly terasi (fetmented shrimp paste), smelly ikan asin (salted fisb) and off course the smelly durian fruit. Does surstromming really smell stronger? Anybody knows? Either way, I'd love to try it. I think I'd like it.
Nice one. Enjoy 😊
Nice one. Would be fun. Must do hey. Cheers 🥂🍻🥂
Its in my heritage ive been told. I was born in England. Came to Australia when i was Four. Best thing my parents done coming to Australia 🌏🦘. Thanks for sharing 😊
I have never heard of it before. Thanks for sharing 😊. Cheers 🥂🍻🥂
What is surströmming? Small Baltic herring are caught in the spring, salted and left to ferment at leisure before being stuffed in a tin about a month before it hits the tables and shops. The fermentation process continues in the can - 'souring' as the Swedes refer to it - and results in a bulging tin of fermented herring. Or rotten fish, as some (incorrectly) would say. The aroma is pungent, and the taste is rounded yet piquant with a distinct acidity. The fermentation originates from a lactic acid enzyme in the fish's spine.
The Baltic Sea herring, which has been a staple of Northern Swedish cuisine since the 16th century, keeps on fermenting once it's tinned, so much so the tin bulges from all the pungent acids at work. It's banned by most airlines as an explosion risk, and is effectively illegal outside Sweden.
Cheers 🥂🍻🥂
Enjoy Cheers 🥂🎈🥂
You should try it with a big slice of durian fruit.🤢 Love your dress Sophie.
I would like to try it someday. To see what is all the fuss about it)
I would try it once, who knows it might be delicious.
It is!
yuck
The taste is not bad and you quickly get used to the smell, a couple of minutes in a room with the can and you don't smell it anymore.
That StuG life-shirt is really something else :D
Do you know to not hiv? Just a long good nostral drag.
maybe sometimes...
Wooo, I bet it smelled extra ripe too. Even the cat ran away lol
The smell was bad.
So how long you need to avoid peoples before the smell was all gone??
I did not eat it so after cleaning everything off the smell was gone. Just don't trow anything inside 🤣
Plastic bag was the real hero! haha love the videos!
@@revvrie4725 yes, I didn’t want that juice over my stuff 😆
I would never ever have the courage to try it.
For me the smell was enough 🤣

Fenomenalno mjesto. Nema nikoga. Jezero ovakve dubine i boje.. boje vaših očiju.. ☺️ je sigurno besprijekorno čisto.
svi govore Engleskim ovde, hehehe..
@@deejagers716 Pozdrav! 🙂
Looks so cool.
Such blue water!
Roger Moore drove the P1800 when he was in the famous British t.v. series 'The Saint' for most of the 1960's !! ..beautiful cars !!
I love the Volvos.. my Dad had quite a few and my last car in the UK was a 340 GLE... in the same colour as the GLT you showed in this video ! My dream car was a C70 !! Some lovely old classics in that museum !.. awesome !!
