Thank you Dr Nicole Basta for the fantastic presentation. However, one thing I'd like to point out is that the Pfizer vaccine phase 4 study in Israel (Dagan et al. April 2021 NEJM) was not a case-control study. It was a retrospective study employing a cohort design and used Kaplan-Meier estimator to calculate the risk ratio (which is impossible in a case-control study) and thus, vaccine effectiveness.
