    Go give dualistic unity a listen, I think at first you might disagree with their podcast but it'll click for you. The peace from your meditation, isn't coming from meditating. It's coming from you! It's not the time you spent trying to find zen, its you

      Huh, this is very interesting. I think that actually makes a lot of sense. Meditation is just the external tool, and really the only thing that will get you to that state is yourself? Is that kind of what you are getting at?

    I think we procrastinate because we're often weighed down by self-doubt and the stress of everything else coming our way. Personally I procrastinate when I know what the value of my work holds. I think the "system" confuses us to think of it as "guilt" when in reality, it's a negative look perspective that others put upon us in knowing out own capability .

    • @michael-maloney
      @michael-maloney Місяць тому

      This is interesting. Are you saying sometimes is that you feel like your work might be too good/ others won't see it as that? I know that sounds weird, but i'm just trying to understand your perspective. Have you ever heard the quote, "our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure..."

    • @michael-maloney
      @michael-maloney Місяць тому

      Yea that is a lot on your plate. From the time before work, and time after work/ the weekends, is there any way you could at least squeeze an hour a day into self improvement or business? Even an hour a day can make a big difference! Business isn't essential but what i've found is that with self improvement habits like meditating/ working out it improves my productivity and energy in all other areas. You know when you're with the kids, when you're working on your house, you'll have a better energy to you maybe even have more efficiency because your minds sharper. Therefore saving time in these time consuming things. Don't cut into your sleep though!

    It’s interesting you say that about carbs because out of the 3 macro nutrients (carbs, fats, and proteins) carbohydrates are the only thing we can live without. We need protein and fats to survive but we can live perfectly fine without carbs even though it’s a macro nutrient. Carbs have their place and are healthy in moderation but it really shows you how messed up society’s diet is when most peoples diet is mostly carbs with very little protein and fat which are the necessary nutrients to stay live.

    • @michael-maloney
      @michael-maloney Місяць тому

      Yes, and honestly they are just something I stay away from completely. But You know stuff like complex carbs such as fruits, veggies, whole grains, I just don't know the science too much to make a valid argument for or against these things. But what I do know for sure is that the simple carbs that have all the junk in them are terrible for us and is what is making us all tired weak and lethargic! I remember I was talking to you about cereal one time. The whole cereal industry making breakfast popular. Dude sometimes I forget how essential an important diet is. Like we are all trying to solve our complex problems by doing super complex things. But sometimes we forget the basics of diet and having good sleep lol!

    I took a few free online business courses offered through the library a few years ago. Pertaining to your line growing I think what they were trying to teach us through the teachers who corrected our papers and answered our questions, (about 30 students from all over the country) was that we had to be willing to forgo relationships not conducive to our goals. At the time I thought that harsh, but now I realize it was biblical and full of common sense. If our goal is heaven we must forgo all opposed to our attaining that. Its no different in "earthly aspirations"/ conducting our business if we want to flourish in an honest and ethical manner. We must be willing to oppose the maxims of the world and ideas towards the goal of "success" but rather connect to God, the True God and let Him work within us, letting all others fall away till our goal, and in fact God's goal or will is accomplished in us and in the world. Jesus said, "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven..." I know you mention meditation and the guy was meditation while swimming. His body relaxed enough to hear the still small voice that gives clarity to a creature of God's creation whether Christian or not. Hopefully many of us have experienced this. God desires to be close to his creation and when we lean towards Him He is ever ready to connect. I am a Christian and I find this clarity, strength and help through prayer, also can be called meditation. It carries throughout the day because it continues to be drawn upon through constant mindfulness and more continued prayer, maybe even silently, from the heart. It brings a dew throughout the day despite the chaos and fulfills our needs. This is the crux I believe. Its my opinion, but God desires truth. If our business is not honest, ethical and fill a need for humanity's betterment the business will fail. That's not to say that good businesses that have helped others in some capacity have not been "successful" but my thought is the true measure is truth in the bigger picture. Helping the other without losing self (except that self be lost in a more fervent closeness or connectedness to God!). It is the WHOLE truth that God requires. Tall order but the answer is out there and within. Thank you for your videos. Just found your channel and am finding the topic very interesting and needed so much today. Subbed. ✝️
