I don't understand why they still put those old batteries in the remotes Why don't they just put these like they go in cell phones and have USB C or a magnet for charging and if your battery breaks, there is a cover that you remove and take out battery and replace it with a new one, otherwise this is total nonsense and outdated technology.

That Diode only makes sure the electrical power flows in one direction... Something that the transformer that you plug into the wall already does!!! Not to mention the Micro USB cable that you used had one side of the current cut, which I'm sure you did because you knew this circuit was unsafe! You showed a picture of the proper charge circuit you SHOULD have used if anyone was dumb enough to want their remote to last only 4 days instead of MONTHS!!!

So... Do about an hour's worth of work to make a fire hazard that lasts 4 days without charging... Instead of buying 2 batteries that would last MONTHs if not YEARs for a couple dollars 🤔😅🤯🙃
