It doesn't bode well for how good a reaction channel will be when some of the reactors can't set aside their disinterest or favoritism to view a movie in its entirety and take it all in. This movie was ahead of it's time. It released before geek culture became more accepted and hence went mainstream.If it released during 205-2019 it would have fared much, much better.

One of the most underrated hidden gem movies maybe ever in cinema history. Honestly it’s been almost 10 years since the release of Beyond The Lights, and I’ve yet to see another film of a romantic drama genre come anywhere near this masterpiece since. I watched it 4 times in the theater in 2014. It never gets old. Each time I watch it, I get something new out of it. Director Gina Prince Bythewood is a genius. Between this, Love And Basketball, The Secret Life Of Bees and most recently The Old Guard and The Woman King, Gina is really one of the most underrated directors in Hollywood today. And the acting of Gugu Mbatha Raw, Minnie Driver and Nate Parker was Oscar Worthy. Gugu in particular should have became a huge movie star after this but while she’s done a lot of TV and film work since, she’s never really taken off and became a leading A list level headliner, as talented as she is as an actress

Gave up. When "The Silence of the Lambs" finally started, on the miniscule screen, the constant crunching, munching, slurping and inanities did my head in. You're actors? I think not.

I would say the theme of the movie is forgiveness. The cinematography is the glitter to the hard reality of life. But in life there is beauty and love as well and it displayed the full gamut of life in a sometimes chaotic but beautiful way.

I grew up in denver Colorado which had its own gang problems but when me and my dad went to Los angels in 1997 we both quickly realized that it was worse, currently living in Florida and damn gangs are everywhere, but okeechobee Florida is way less gang violence than Colorado or California.

Among the best things I love about Boyz n The Hood is Doughboy for his character and story development and Ice Cube’s performance in the role. Cube at the time was among the emerging hip-hopers in the 90s with his debut solo album AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted after leaving NWA. The guy may not have had attended drama class in school, never did a film, never did a TV show or a stage show but it was the encouragement from John Singleton due to their friendship that convinced Cube to get the part of Doughboy. John Singleton met Ice Cube when he was a member of backstage crew at the Arsenio Hall Show and even though Cube turned down the offer a couple times, I’m beyond glad he accepted the offer. For an inexperienced actor in a cinematic debut, Ice Cube did an awesome job playing Doughboy. He played the role as if he (Cube himself) never had a dad, is the subject of ridicule and verbal abuse by his mum who favours a brother of his and ends up as as a Rollin 60s Crip. He did it so damn convincingly that he should’ve got an Oscar, a BAFTA, a Golden Globe - all three for “Best Supporting Actor” and MTV Movie Award for “Best Breakthrough Performance”. This was long before Cube did the Friday films (film series he also wrote/produced), Are We There Yet?, xXx 2 and 3, Fist Fight, Ride Along, 21/22 Jump Street, Ghost of Mars, the Barbershop films, Rampart, Tresspass etc If the Marc Webb-directed and Andrew Garfield-starred Amazing Spider-Man films were to conclude with a 3rd film (a 4 hour 3rd film to end the story) and if Ice Cube appeared in it - he would’ve been J Jonah Jameson (Daily Bugle newspaper boss). Imagine Andrew Garfield and Ice Cube in the same room! Wasted/missed opportunity in my opinion.

These reactions... Honestly I started to watch because it would be interesting to see actors watch the show and give their opinions and insight. Like you know, them actually *watching* the show, not seeing some of them (or should I say *always one of them specifically*) watching their phones for almost the entire video, to then hear them give their opinion which was formed over what? Whatever it was on their phone? I would never watch this channel again if not for the rest of the group.

It's so funny to hear the lady who played almost the entire time on her phone, say that "she wouldn't trust Anthony because he was not monogamous" etc. Gurl... 🤣Tell me you didn't pay attention without telling me you didn't pay attention. 🤣 It was heavily implied Anthony was monogamous with Sienna. The problem was they didn't want/need the same things. Sienna didn't want to change her life as a performer, she did not care for the pomp, the ton and their rules, and wanted someone who would care for her without changing her. Anthony on the other hand was lost in between his many duties as not only the man of his family, but also as a Viscount, (title that was passed to him very young when his father passed) and his feelings for a woman who did not meet societal expectations as potential partner of a man of his stature.

It is so funny hearing the lady who was playing on her phone most of the video, talking about "Anthony not being monogamous" and the fact that "she would not trust Anthony" because of that on closing thoughts... Gurl, tell me you didn't pay attention without telling me you didn't pay attention. 🤣 Anthony WAS monogamous with Sienna, the problem was they did not want the same things (Sienna was content with her life as a performer and did not want that to change she just wanted someone who wanted her as she was, whereas Anthony was still lost in between his many duties as a Viscount which was passed on to him very young when his father passed and his feelings for a woman who did not meet societal expectations as a partner for a man of his title).
