20 years ago, two brothers set off on an adventure that went from bad to worse. If it could go wrong, it did. 2 bikes stolen, 2 vehicles dead and left behind. 3 days straight on a greyhound back to the states. The thing with adventures, though, is that you can still have fun when everything goes wrong. We made it to British Columbia. We rode epic Montana single track. We camped in the middle of...
Teton Pass | Wilson, WY // Black Canyon

This was the first trail we rode on Teton Pass, and it quickly became one of our favorites. We rode it two more times in the next day and a half! This is the full length version, so there is a fair amount of climbing at the beginning. Skip ahead a few minutes to find the fast, flowy downhill singletrack if that's what you're here for!
Teton Pass | Wilson, WY // Phillip's Ridge

This is the extended cut of our Sunday morning ride on Phillip's Ridge trail during our WyBROming 2020 trip. This trail is AMAZING!!! We kept saying to each other, "I don't want it to end!" I apologize for the crazy wind noise (especially on top of the ridge). Still trying to figure out the best way to record MTB footage with optimal sound.

This was day 1 of our 3 day WyBROming mountain biking adventure. We rode 30 miles of lift accessed downhill single track from 10am to 5pm and LOVED every second of it (even the crash)! The wind noise is pretty bad. I'm still figuring out all of the settings on the new GoPro Hero7 Black.

I was there that day! Emotions! Min 5:23 ... 5:41 ... 5:55 ... thank you guys!
Awesome! Great to share such a perfect day on the mountain with you 😁
Round trip how long was this...... More importantly how was that decent below tree line. I have to know
Total elapsed time of the hike was just shy of 7 hours. However, our actual moving time was around 4 hours. Some of that may have been gps inaccuracy because of how slow we were moving. The decent was difficult below treeline. The steepest section with all the ice was almost impassible without a rope. Checkout my Strava upload for more detailed info: strava.app.link/FyapgQvobHb
Yo you cats really nailed a mint day man wow. Probably best winter ascent video of the big boy I’ve seen. The forest was snow covered, it wasn’t arctic cold, blue sky and low fog what an affect. Looked Alps like great footage.
Yeah we hit the jackpot for sure, such an amazing day on the mountain! Thanks for the kind words 👍🏻
Love the video.
... wow! I'm glad I found your channel just now. Spectacular to say the least.... Thank you
What motor?
I believe it’s the MofoRC BAM 4,100kv brushless motor.
good for you guys to keep going even with the limited visibility and wind. if you're not on the edge sometimes, you're not living.
It’s cool to see your son riding with you. How old is Caleb now?
He was 12 in this video…but he will be 14 this October! Just took me awhile to edit the footage from this trip 😁
Hey Justin nice to see your videos pop up on my feed every now and then! Hey how much travel does that bike have? Haha. Keep it up brother.
Ryan! Man it’s good to hear from you brother! Haha that’s still one of my all time favorite memories from my time in NC!
Dude, this video just popped up on my feed, I was thinking, “I know that guy.” Forgot what your channel was named. I was just telling someone about the first time we met. You rolled up in that yellow Volvo with the rack on top, wearing a Rocky Mountain jersey, camo shorts, and a cowboy hat. I was thinking,” who am I about to go ride with.” Glad I did!
yeah! 👍
going to jackson next week.. i see you are on a rental bike, what shop did you use and did you hitch a ride to the top thanks nice vid too
Hey Jason, thanks for watching! We used Hoback Sports in Wilson, WY. We actually brought our younger brother along on the trip to be our shuttle driver. But you can easily hitch a ride to the top most days!
Thanks for the reply Used Wilson backcountry Wife shuttle driver It was a tremendous ride!!
He's looking pretty confident on those features!
Was the dirt track around the Behrend area part of the "Bayfront Bikeway'? And do the trails start at the Junker Center parking lot?
You could probably get to the trails from the junker center lot, but easiest access is from the Prischak lot or bottom of cooper road.
@@68rockcrawler Thanks!
What was the total elevation gain for the 50K?
It was about 4,500’ by my watch. Not sure what the actual or advertised vert is. Here’s my Strava upload: strava.app.link/Fg4MI0CGtdb
I appreciate the trail footage! I was supposed to run it this year too, but deferred to 2021. What is the "Hateful 8"?
UltraTrailSteven the first 8 miles of the Laurel Ultra are pretty brutal. They have been affectionately named “the hateful eight” by the local ultra running community. On the bright side, you get most of the elevation gain out of the way early on in this race!
@@fiveshaffers Nice. Thanks for the info!
Ever ridden across the road? I’m sure you edited a lot out but there’s much more to offer up there that’s a ton of fun. Next time go down the white knuckler not the up trail haha. Either way there’s some nice stuff around the area.
KeystoneRider Thanks for the recommendation. I was following my brother on this ride, he lives near the trails and rides there all the time. Happy trails!
@dandeez trails at six mile creek park is in the beginning stages. Asbury woods, bluffs state park. Jakes rocks in warren about an hour from Erie with all machine built trails. Def the best one around.
@dandeez7901hearts content is right there by your camp as well, also Two Mile Run over by Oil City are great old school trails, as well.
You made that double black diamond section on Blondie look easy!
Haha thanks! Too bad the GoPro made it look like a sidewalk LOL
Totally that was me in the passenger seat for a second, doppelgangers I guess 😄
Nice ! Good HD picture quality here . Great to see brothers climbing together ; my twin brother was my climbing partner for many years , driving together all the way from Maryland and through PA to Mt. Washington like you guys did . Serious weather up there on your climb ! Liked the scripture reference at the end of your vid : ) ATB
Curious if you looked for the spring that should have been around 12.5 miles? I've hike the trail and never found it. I packed in water though
We found it this past Sunday. Not hard to find, really. Wouldnt drink from it unless I had a LifeStraw or something similar. It is right where you come off the road downhill and just over the hill from the little parking area there, to the east. Little rock stack there to mark it.
Cool video, looks like a good time
this trail is practically my backyard, and so damn beautiful. great video. very motivating!
Thanks for the great description. I just found out about this trail and I'm interested in riding it. Been doing some homework on this so this definitely helps. I've ridden around Canaan on about five separate trips but missed this one. I do have a question and I think it's obvious, do you have to set up your own shuttle? Do you know if there is anything set up locally where you can have someone shuttle you? As opposed to driving two cars from Ohio to WV. I'm guessing you might have got ahold of this local guy ahead of time on a mtb site or something? Great video btw! Thanks!
Thanks for watching! You do have to set a shuttle to ride the whole thing. I believe one of the climbing guides in Seneca was willing run a shuttle, but I don't remember how much they charge. And there was a bike shop in Harrisonburg, VA that actually runs a shuttle fairly often but it will cost you (can't remember the shop name offhand). Sorry I couldn't be more help. You will love the trail if you get a chance to ride it!
Looks awesome!
My advice is ride it from the South end to the road and down to the parking lot on the back roads. The 2nd half of the trail is horrible and mostly unrideable. So many trees down...so many rocks....it sucks. Will never ride it again. Great hiking trail, but not much fun biking that 2nd half. Just my opinion. And that 3 mile downhill people talk about....not really a thing. Some parts rideable...most not.
Jeez I would have gone over the handlebars so many times...
TimGGleason yeah it was super technical in a lot of places, but mostly rideable. thanks for watching!
Awesome vidoe
