Could you provide a bit of guidance on how to build this? I copied what is on screen, but the best I get out of the patch is either a burst of noise, or a strangulated modal synth style short whistle. Any help greatly appreciated!
OK, so it seems that the envelope shapes (in the function objects) are crucial to get a good thud and an appealing resonant tone. I expect that experienced Max users will already know this, but if you are a novice, like me, you might find that information useful, especially as, once this patch is working, it is really good! Hope this helps!
