The Man who may Connect all Assassinated US Presidents
Al Stump lied about this man folks. Dont believe the BS about him folks
I mention that in the video, Stump was bad
People don’t realize he’s just a person with a misunderstanding story.
Þe word "matthew" could be spelled "maþþew"
Ð is still used in Icelandic, Faroese (in which it is called edd), and Elfdalian
Just a little fun fact I wanted to share
@@GustawStudios23 Thanks for sharing! I mention Icelandic in the video. What’s Elfdalian?
CLE-LA CLE-NYM DET-NYM DET-LA NYY-NYM Either these would’ve been a better World Series matchup… 😕
A subway series would’ve been great
What's up CT ! Another great game in game 2. Both nail biters no matter who you want. C ya !
I’m glad to hear this about Ty Cobb.
It was a great game,I was watching the it here in London, praying the game would end so I could get to bed, but that ending kept me up with friends for hours afterwards,..And it's only the first game,..big Yankee fan 😊
phillies>
Haha, ok. They can try to prove that next year
Well I am a cranky old man and want to go back to 2 divisions in each league with the division winners playing each other in a best of 7 series to go to the World Series! Well I am a crankier older man and want to go back to no divisions and the league winner is determined by the best record and the league winners play a 7 game World Series!!
I get that, I think just an ALCS and NLCS before a World Series is all that’s needed. This video’s point is that IF there needs to be 12 playoff teams this system works pretty well.
@@CTyankee I have had some individuals tell me that they want the 2020 8-team format back.
@@tedharrington5432 Interesting! That whole season is such an exception for everything. Idk if MLB would ever adopt any formatting used then.
@@CTyankee I hope not!
Ty Cobb threatened to sue Stump for making up stories about him
@7:35, So upon determining that he would start to hit home runs, and hitting 5 home runs in 12 at bats, which would have pretty much made his baseball teams unbeatable to produce at this pace, he decided he would rather hit singles because it was more challenging than hitting a ball over the fence?
FUCK YOUR COMMERCIALS UA-cam FUCK YOURSELF UA-cam FUCK YOURSELF UA-cam FUCK
Cobb playing for nigh on 20 years is way off. Ty Cobb played for 24 seasons!! From 1905-1928. Another mind-blowing fact is that had Cobb's .367 lifetime average been just 8 points higher he would have averaged 3 hits in every 8 at bats. Absolutely astounding!! It's a shame these numbers were scarred by a man who was a complete bastard. On and off the diamond!! Even with his great career, there were several black stars of that period, and after comparable, if not even better. Oscar Charleston of the Pittsburgh Crawfords and his teammate the great Josh Gibson. A perfect contemporary of Cobb's was Spotswood Poles, who many claim was even faster on the basepaths than the legendary James "Cool Papa" Bell. Bell was so fast that even Jesse Owen's, more than 10 years his junior, refused to race him!! Later came Willie Mays, Frank Robinson, and Henry Aaron. To name a few. What a tragedy Cobbs career was contested in segregated infamy.
A great and amazing player and man. Set all the records. Spoke out against racism in MLB.
8:17 Bull Sh*t. I s=don't know who this clown is, but he didn't do his homework!
If his mom was acquitted, that means it was considered self defense, not murder by a jury of her peers. Cobb is legend
@@lovetruth1776 Yes, this is a correction that should have been made in the video. It’s noted in the description.
@@CTyankee right on 👍
Cobb was absolutely the best baseball player of all time, just look at the number of hits, stolen bases and .400 batting average seasons. Notice that I didn't say he was the greatest person of all time, just the best baseball player.
Just came here to say Maldonado sucks and this is a dumb video.
Hold on did we lose him
Let’s Gooo a Sox fan this channel deserves more subs
@@joeysdogwater Hahah, thanks, but I’m a Yankees fan.
Oh
Still cool
Read “Ty Cobb: A Terrible Beauty” by Charles Leerhsen if you’re interested in his life and insight to that era of professional baseball. Edit: I appreciate your objectivity and referencing Stump’s deliberate misrepresentations. Beyond Cobb, that era of professional baseball was unlike the modern game and a fascinating topic for serious baseball fans. Thanks for your video.
@@BeckVMH Thanks for the recommendation!
Cobb, the greatest ball player EVER.
As I understand it, the 'official' version of the game says that Hddix lost the game one-zip on a 3-run HR in the 13th. Some of this may have happened after the end of the game, but Aaron (who said that he didn't see the ball go out) touched second and then headed for the clubhouse (making the 2nd out of the inning). When he didn't cross the plate, they pretty much had to call Adcock out for passing him, which made 3 outs - which doesn't really matter, since Matilla's run counted.
What if there were two outs when this happened and Aaron left the base path before the lead runner touched home? No runs would score.
He's done it again, CTyankee with another revolutionary video, thank you for your service.
Interesting. Good video.
The Imperfect Masterpiece.
Jeff Banister went 1-1 in his only major league played appearance. Perfect 1.000 ba and 2.000 ops. Also I think Mookie Betts has bowling statistics on his page.
I've always appreciated that Madison Bumgarner's salary section includes his professional rodeo winnings.
Randy Poffo is Randy "Mach Man" Savage of WWF fame. Probably before your time but he was a major wrestling star. According to Wiki, he played several seasons of minor league ball. Oddibe McDowell is pronounced "OH-Duh-bee". He led off for the Rangers and was a very high draft pick and an Olympian too. He always waved his bat a lot while waiting on the pitch as I recall. He was an every day player for a few years. The utility bill data is bizarre but hilarious. That's awesome about Mark Lemke. I don't remember anything notable about him except he played on some exceptional Braves teams in the 90s. Reminds me of Jim Gantner.
If you were around at the time, you watched Chris Berman do highlights on ESPN, and he'd make up nicknames for players. He always called McDowell, Oddibe "Young Again".
Thanks for the information! Name pronunciations are always some of the hardest things to get right.
I had a Mark Lemke-like streak of never getting hit by a pitch until the penultimate game of my little league/high school baseball career. I batted leadoff 80% of the time so I had hundreds of at bats and still never got hit. Then with 2 games to go in my senior season I got hit in the head in back-to-back at bats on the same count with the same pitch, a sidearm curveball on an 0-2 count. The second one tied the game and we won on the next pitch. Then the final game I got hit in the foot in my first at bat.
Ouch! Was the win worth the pain?
@@CTyankee Didn't really hurt. Helmet did its job.

Well Done Glad you brought up AL Stump the Sports Writer. Alot in that Book Probably was Fiction but i really enjoyed the Movie COBB With Tommy Lee Jones.👍👍
Pretty sure Lew Burdette told Harvey after the game, he needed to work on spreading out his baserunners.
@@bbreeze2663 That’s a pithy comment if true!
As I have heard it, Lew called Haddix on the clubhouse phone, and said: "Great game, Harv, just some bad luck. I scattered my 12 hits, but you bunched up your one."
He was a real SOB. But strangely, even Buck O'Neil spoke warmly of him.
@@skykingimagery899 Great profile pic!
He was a prejudice hick.
I don't respect Ty Cobb.
Why is that?
Þ SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO COME BACK ITS BEEN FAR TOO LOŊ
Ty cobb average by today's standard and was a horrible person.
Ty Cobb was a racist period
Dude, most people were in the early 1900s. context matters
so wait.. did ty cobb get picked on or not?? cause I've never heard that before, I always hear about him not being liked but him being messed with didn't know such history..
He's a Hall of Fame catcher for sure, they changed the rules after he got fucked up on a plate collision that basically ended his career
he won mvp after the injury tho
I agreed with it and added my experience of him, what's the fucking problem you retard?
Joe Mauer getting in first ballot definitely helps his case. Even if Posey doesn't make it through voting, he's 100% getting in through veteran's committee.
He had 6 full seasons and retired early. You need longevity to get in the hall. He's definitely in the hall of remarkable though. Excellent when he was healthy.
Longevity is definitely what makes Posey's chances the weakest, but I think he still makes it.
@@CTyankee Albert Belle should be in first then. Outperforms Posey in every way but only had an 11 year career.
I feel like this video cursed Trout. I'm so sorry.
I grew up watching buster posey he’s the reason I wanted to start catching I definitely think he’s a hall of famer
So do I!

Dude, this video is really a cut above the rest. A lot of similar videos on youtube are amateurish by comparison, including those of much bigger channels. Your sensitivity to structure and pacing is remarkable, and it’s clear to me that you have a real talent for writing. Lastly, thank you for not blasting annoying music throughout the whole video like a lot of creators on here. Best of luck and keep up the good work.
