Nothing like watching this with tears coming down. I remember E9 so well. Loved his walk about. Hated when he flew away. I always wonder if he would nest close to Harriet. But I will never know now. I miss Harriet and Ozzie and E9. But they say life goes on.
Beautiful tribute, tysm. I cried through it all. I am looking forward to the rest of E21 & E22's journey to fledging.
Thanks for watching. I miss those 2 ❤️. E21 & E22 are going to be heart wrenching to say goodbye to, but what a victory that will be 🦅🦅❤️❤️
What happened to the little guy? 😢
He was (unknowingly) fed a poisoned rat. He then unfortunately broke a feather, and since rodenticide is an anticoagulant, he couldn’t stop bleeding and ended up bleeding to death. The poison probably would have taken his life anyway, but the broken feather seemed to have sped things up. It was really awful as all this was caught on cam. Never use rat poison!
@@Happylilbeaks thank you for answering. Every now and then I post that very thing on FB. I tell everyone I know not to use that damn rat poison. How tragic!! 🥺 Sorry if I opened old wounds. 💔
I don't understand something ..E14 passed from Poison...but Harriet and M15 didn't get any poison ..unless they didn't eat what was poisoned and fed it all to E14 ...That's what it was ..just think if the other egg had hatched also both of them would have passed...I'm so sad still and this was real hard to watch but a beautiful Memory...
Great question. According to CROW, the adults probably had only a small amount of the poison, and their bodies could handle it. Little E14 bled out from breaking a feather. The rat poison kept his blood from coagulating. It’s hard to say if he would have survived the rodenticide if he hadn’t gotten a broken feather. He was so small it would probably taken him anyway, but the broken feather sped things up. A tragic set of circumstances all around 💔

❤ I was heartbroken the day each of my children flew the nest, I wonder if eagles feel the same way? Could be in their nature it’s the order of things and must be. As a human I wanted my kids to stay home, and stay safe from the dangers of this world. Now 25 yrs since the youngest left, all is well with all 3 of my kids. This music video made me want to cry for the parents of these two precious babies. I hope they two are safe and enjoying long life and their freedom to explore. ♥️🦅

This was wonderful - I started watching last season 2020 and got to see their last eaglets fledge and one takes its time to leave home. It was amazing. Thank you for this. 🦅🦅❤️ Hoping E17 and E18 are returned soon.

I applause Hattitt and M15 on there life together so much love these two have for eachother ..people can learn from Harritt and M15 ..love can. Be painfull and hard but Harritt and M15 have been through everything together and still going strong. Love this family

@@Happylilbeaks He's my favorite, too. Maybe because he was my first. Got to see E10 and E11 in person, and that was great, but E9 has a special place in my heart.
Patricia Kowerko oh wow! I’d love to visit the nest some day. E9 was my first too, and I fell in love with that little cutie ❤️
@@Happylilbeaks It's a thrill. You can get very close to the nest tree and I saw E10 and 11 sitting on the nest looking out at their surroundings, and saw Harriett and M15, while at the same time, watching the nest on my phone. It was fun driving over from the East Coast of Florida to Ft. Myers. We saw Yonder Pond, and the horses. So, nice of the Pritchetts to allow people on their property. Wish we could know where E9 is now. Safe, happy and soaring, I hope.
Patricia Kowerko how wonderful! Yes, the Pritchetts are very generous with the cams and allowing people to come view live. There was a sub-adult that came to the nest tree last fall. We all hoped and believed it was 9er as it had the kind of plumage he would have now. Nothing wrong with hoping!

I started watching when their eggs were laid. I loved this family ever since. I wondered if they ever come back to see mom and dad just to say hi and meet their siblings.
No one knows. I’d like to think so! Normally, the adults chase off the sub-adults, but sometimes they allow them to perch in the nest tree. One that would be E9’s age even sat in the nest last fall. We were all convinced it was him, but no one knows. There is only one eaglet that has been banded, E8.
An exceedingly nicely done video of the pair of offspring I never knew. I feel I know them now thank you and hopefully it will be a preview of coming attractions to what we are now witnessing.
Jo M. Glad you enjoyed. They were precious, and E13 was a character with such a zest for life. We’ll see their individual personalities shine through as they start branching, then flying around the pasture. At the same time, I don’t want time to rush by! Savor every phase, every moment we have with them ❤️

Man!! I didn’t know about this nest with E12 and E13 or Harriet & M15 but these pictures were nothing less than beautiful and tear jerking. I felt like I knew Harriet M15 & the Eaglets (back then) bc I felt their journey thru these amazing pictures that I found myself as they got near their fledgling stages tearing up.knowing their time was near to leave for journey knowing they are already gone. I hope 🙏they are safe soaring and surviving like their mom & dad. Also seeing so many pictures of the four of them as family unit was touching too. You could see the closeness btwn E12 & E13 that they all loved each other. An amazing family of beautiful Eagles. So yea it was a happy tear jerker for a wuss like me. 😁❤️💛🦅💛❤️

Hollis Amelia Oh, I know I do to. And that song is perfect. That is what does it too for tears. I have been with Harriet and M15 since before E14 and the heart wrenching time that was. I actually said E14 (spirit) was going to come back and he was going to be 3x as strong nx time. Low and be hold Harriet lays two eggs! Didn’t expect that to happen this soon! And these two little charmers are strong and determined and Harriet and M15 are two of the best parents. 😊

I didn’t start watching until this season, but this video was such a joy to watch! Great captures too. I’m looking forward to seeing them grow and learn. I’d love to see 15 and 16 at the pond. Harriet and M are such great parents and teachers. ❤️ this nest the best
Yes, they are the best parents for sure ❤️. I’m glad you started watching this season...the season of miracles with the second clutch. I’m sure 15 and 16 will visit the pond. They are eyeing it from the nest, picking out all the places they’re going to go when they take flight ❤️
This is such a sweet video of E12 & E13. These two I started watching after they fledged and I loved being able to watch them down by the pond. I couldn't wait to watch E14 down there and was devastated when we lost him. Now we have a second chance with E15 & 16. Can hardly wait. 🦅🦅🎉
I loved watching them at the pond as well. E13 loved her pond. Very sad about little E14. He is never forgotten. We truly have a miracle here with the new Es. The size difference cracks me up ❤️

I really enjoyed this video. You can tell them apart by their beaks up close, or by the size if looking from afar. Harriet i's bigger than M15. Thanks for sharing. 🦅❣🦅❣🦅

What great memories of this little eagle and I also remember the day he left. I told myself that I had never seen a young eagle so prepared by his parents and I felt confident he would make . For him to show up over the weekend was a treat. Thanks to the efforts of all concerned for the pictures. Stop by any time E9

Every once in a great while, I see eagles visit the pond at the back of my house in Venice, FL ~ adults and juveniles at different times. And when I catch my breath and my heart starts again, I wonder.... could it be? Is that you E9? E10 or 11? Harriet? I'm just grateful they visit and grace my life for those brief moments. Fly free and strong, beauties
