What are the best garage doors like this to fit ?
the home I moved into has a hormann ecomatic, dated 2002 on the sticker. it has 2 remotes, neither I beleive is genuine as they are each different and dont look like the ones with the hormann name etc, book left in garage says hs 2 40.685mhz. im looking into getting a spare remote and have ordered a programmable one for 18 quid as im a bloke and tight. ive seen receivers that come with two remotes for around 40 and 80 quid. is it feasible to get one of those, wire it to the head unit and it will work and ive 2 remotes?
Yes you can add a bell push button it connects to the back inside cover there is a red and black port at top you can use door bell wire as well
whats the red pull rope for? mine is missing, perhaps the previous owner took it off
That's the emergency release cord in case you're in the garage and get a power cut so you can manually open it. Get a replacement asap.

Hi mate i've noticed on my hormann up and over the overall mechanicsm (rectangle box) has a slack, almost as if a screw or two need tightening, I couldn't work out how to remove it to inspect, do you have any tips? Thanks in advance.
Hi, yes, it usually a some screws inside of the box that can be tightened but might be an idea just to get a new one as once you take them apart the spring loaded mechanism, usually just goes everywhere you can buy them online and very simple to replace

Hi Mate - I have an issue where the internal turning part is stuck and therefore cannot open or close the garage door (like theres an internal spring not allowing thr full movement to open) Externally the handle doesnt turn although locked as well as internally. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi yes Send the door up and then hold down the program button on the operator it will show (00), Then push arrows up to menu number 12 and then hold down the program button till it starts to flash then, then hold down the remote button you want to code it will start to flash for the frequency code. once 12 starts flashing more rapid with a little dot below its complete
