8:40 i think lol showcases this pretty well. The game is extremely hard to get into and needs insane amounts of time to get better. Same with siege in the early days, it wasnt balanced, you needed to know what you were doing to be better then your oponents. Ofc this makes the game less accessable and i think thats one of the main reasons ubisoft changed it. They want money and only money, what they dont understand is, if you keep a steady lower money flow, its better then making a lot of money in a short amount of time, cause you can balance and manage it better.. 9:00 yes i agree, make bad operators better instead of making good operators worse.. the ttk is so much longer now then it was back in 2016-2018

Game was good until they started adding holograms and all of this weird crap and unrealistic stuff to the game Game is a joke and I stopped playing around 2018 when it slowly started drifting towards an arcade game rather than a tactical shooter Like SWAT4, old R6 games or Ready or Not

lmao that intro has 0 self awareness. R6 lost it's identity with siege. the gameplay and entire concept of the game has nothing to do with previous games like vegas and never took itself serious to begin with. R6 always had a focus on single player gameplay, this game is a husk of the former r6, and that's fine, the franchise needs to evolve and at some point too much of the same is bad. If the gameplay is fine and the game is enjoyable then go play it and stop this artificial irritation for clicks. TL;DR: R6 was never serious. Stop being angry about things that dont really matter and have fun playing a game.

Ubisoft is far from bankruptcy. Check the amount of cash on their balance sheet. Its on thing to say they've had failures but don't just make things up.

If it makes money, they will do it. That's what matters. Ubisoft does not respect Clancy or source material. They own his name so they'll do whatever they want with it and make whatever kind of money they want with it regardless if it reflects Tom Clancy's vision for the title. It would be nice to see a real tactical shooter but that isn't going to happen. There are enough imbeciles out there that will pay money for stupid things that are already overpriced like goofy, immersion breaking skins and Ubisoft knows this. I don't think we'll be seeing any actual Rainbow games anymore. Siege became too much of a money maker.

I love listening to the vanilla OST and I could only imagine music like that being used in something like Ready Or Not now. Music that would accompany tense, tactical action and morally shaky decision making. Now they're disabled Power Rangers.

been playing games since a kid can’t remember a time video games weren’t in my life. all my gaming buddies still get on but they’ve all quit/stopped playing shooter games which we all met on. so i’m just in a party playing alone most days and it’s near impossible to find gaming groups these days

Man.. this made me realize how much I miss classic Siege. 2016-2020 were some of the best gaming years I've ever had. I miss playing this with my buds. Seeing the shape it's in now makes me realize it's not worth revisiting

Honestly stopped playing Siege long ago. The game stopped being realistic and the new abilities and operators just took it even further out of the "realistic tactical shooter genre". It is now a boring hero shooter with no identity (and a bad one at that). I miss the old siege, while yes it was glitchy and unbalanced it was fun and immersive. Whereas the new siege is still unbalanced but no longer fun or immersive.

really liked siege back in the days but i feel the opposite to some points of the videos Feels like siege's downfall happenned because it was too focused on Competetive players. Operator is overpowered? Let's balance it Hard to spot on night maps? Let's remove them Zofia can stand back on her own, even if it is a known ability, but pro-player didn't finish them? Remove it It goes and, and on, and on, with every other patch being more focused on competetive balance Losing aesthetic of cosmetics is probably something completely different, that has no connection with comp or casual players i'd say, i am not even sure who loves over-expressing cosmetics these days, it feels like games become more generic when those are added
