Berkshire based pianist, composer, indie musician, and tennis racket player. I arrange folk and traditional songs for the piano, so if you’re interested in learning via sheet music or playthough (piano particles) videos, you’ve come to the right spot. The old 'You may win the battle but lose the war' analogy! Well, as a retired tennis player myself, I was lapping this up! Perhaps it explains why players (like Rublev) are repeatedly losing it and smashing their racquets! I always remember someone asking Ivan Lendl for some good advice on tennis. His answer was "Win the last point!" (Point 93 in your last calculation!).
Great tip by Lendl! hehe. Dang if you weren't all the way across the pond, I would say we should play some tennis sometime. Come out of retirement!

Lovely. The title of the tune reminded me that I happened to be in a pub (called The Target) in Reading, Berkshire UK (late 70's?) when Marillion (pre fame) came on wearing sacks (!) and performed a set. I was chatting to a friend and was distracted. Their singer was getting a bit irate (must have been Fish) that no one was listening to their set. There were only a few people in the pub, so it must have been uncomfortable for them. It's just amazing I retained such a good memory of the event but nothing of the music played - it must have been the sacks! Anyhow, I thought I'd share this story. Have a great day. 🤗
