Hebrews was a sermon (“word of exhortation” - 13:22) to believers who were wearing out. An apt image to describe them was: “feeble arms and weak knees” (12:12). Formerly, they’d been on fire and endured whatever came their way; now, they were needing to hang on (10:32-36).
Perhaps some of us can identify! Whether its weariness from rejection in society (as in Hebrews) or struggles in church leadership or the political divide that has cut through our churches-well, I’d guess many can identify with the image of a runner who’s about to collapse.
Please join us as we let the ancient words of encouragement challenge us again to fix our eyes on Jesus (12:2) and to consider how we may stir one another on to love and good deeds (10:24).

This is a great sermon. Thank you.
God is revealing his grace in this story. You cannot take it literally, or we will get lost in the story. Let the holy spirit interpret. Its not condemnation.
From a minor character who from a Western standpoint is painted with the Scarlet Letter, to becoming a rallying cry for victims of trauma and sexual assault in church and other power dynamics, that was one powerful lesson. Bravo.
There is cussing in this video.
The most impactful sermon ever!!
There was never a time you were more spiritual than most no question about that.
Amen
so cool
14:58 Yes, and I suppose we should call RAPE the next morning, every time a woman feels regret from her illicit act from the night before. As for "power", it alone allures, much more, persuades. And that, given any context, religious or otherwise and in any setting, East or West, REIGNS true throughout the test of time. And that will never change.
God Himself called Bathsheba a lamb, connotating innocence.
You miss the point entirely, and you completely fail to understand what is meant by "power differential".
