2024 Mustang Whipple UPR catch cans worth it?
Here’s a video of exactly 1000 miles after the Whipple supercharger was installed. As you can see the UPR catch can caught 1 oz of oil per 1000 miles. I would highly recommend and consider this a mandatory add-on for anyone supercharging the new Mustang s650.

Here’s the new EVO prosport gauge I installed to monitor boost levels. After playing around with it the whipple stage 2 kit is making (honest numbers) about 11 to 12lbs of boost on a 3.750 pulley. I’m also really enjoying the fosters sound tube. The video does no justice in how fast and hard this pulls when that throttle plate opens. Hope you enjoy the video until next time!

Just got the car back this weekend. The actual install for the shop said it took 2 days of work. Labor on a whipple stage 2 kit is about $2000 plus added catch cans, oil, coolant and any other shop supplies. I’m not sure if it’s all the new mustangs that develop a tick immediately after your first oil change. I’m wondering if the motorcraft 5w50 oil helped out with having no ticking. 2024 Mustang S650 Prosport Digital Electronic Boost Gauge for Whipple Supercharger

This is the prosport boost gauge 2 1/16 with an added suction cup banks brand mount. It’s a clean install without having to drill into the pillar or dash. The gauge runs about $90 shipped and suction mount is $39. You’ll need additional hose, spool of thin wire and fuse taps to install. The miscellaneous wiring parts I just got at Oreilly. The install on this was very quick. The Mustang S650 spoiler lines up perfectly and overall a quality product for the price. I will probably end up painting it in the near future also. I think most people can install this with no drilling and basic tools in about 30 minutes to an hour. More videos on my builds to come.

Barely missed the pole there. Not too heavy acceleration the back of the car just slid sideways and sent me right off into the field. They grip awesome in dry weather but use extreme caution in the rain.

Picked this one up because the car had the active exhaust and the Brembo brakes. It also has the 401A package and it’s an automatic like yours. Bought it off the showroom floor because they gave me $7K off the MSRP. The MSRP was $55k+. Thinking about the getting Whipple but I’m going to wait awhile. I want to see how people like you make out after having the Whipple for awhile.

PayPal credit has been a trick I’ve used throughout the years. Trick, so to speak. If I know I can pay it off in six months, I’ll use PayPal credit if I don’t want to make too much of an impact to my bank account. But I don’t use traditional credit cards at all. My philosophy has always been, if I can’t buy it outright or pay it off in six months, I’m just not able to afford it and I’ll save up more.

I'm curious if methanol injection is a good option for a supercharged V8. I'm considering it for my turbocharged car and it not only adds power, it lowers the intake temps up to 50 degrees and cleans a DI engine.
@@jessicaphoenix1312 ite amazing how the tune adapts to changes automatically. People are using different pulleys and running E30 which the computer responds to. I can’t wait until the computers are unlocked and we see the cars full potential.

I am going to get one for my left side, but from what I have seen in 99% of the video's I watch, it always looks to me like they aren't really needed. like what is getting dumped out after 2000 miles isn't really that much.. It's negligible and with port most gets burned off anyway.. IDK.. I guess if you got the money why not...

I don't have $1,500 a month for a car payment.. I have a 17 PP GT paid for and the insurance is killing me.. See I am 51 years old I grew up in a time where cars only costed $15K to $20K, We didn't pay more than $225 a month for car payments.. Whats going on right now is nutz I don't know where they get their money from or how people are doing it.. I was looking at a $1000 a month payment for a new GT and I have like a 780 credit score.. Things are out of control, I will be buying used for the rest of my life probably.. Anyway the way people are being ripped off these days it isn't hard to get to 10K in Mod's on any car..

They should have brought back the kenne bell but I think Ford didn’t want to make the loud supercharger whine like the hellcats and I’ve seen others say they like the subtle whine not the loud kind. This one still sounds really good

No I’ve added a fosters sound tube. If you don’t you’ll never hear a whine.

I drive hard so it’s terrible. I went through 3 tanks one weekend just driving around playing. It’s probably not much different from stock if you drive it normal.

Good video. I got rid of my widebody scat shaker manual about two years ago due to it just sitting in the garage..I got the itch again and decided to test drive a 24 GT manual. First off,I noticed right away the difference in low end torque. The challenger had so much of it...I found myself wishing that the GT had more low end torque. I drove a performance pack car with the recaro seats. And active exhaust. The exhaust sounded great. And the car shifting nicely. The recaros were super uncomfortable for me. But I need to test drive another one with the standard seats. And see how I like it. I’m seeing some nice discounts on them now. And I to researched going the whipple route. Lebanon Ford in Ohio is selling bass GT Mustangs. With manual transmissions I believe. For $49995 with the whipple installed already.
For me it’s been way better than the scat. I was disappointed in the low end torque at first but once I got used to the car and got it boosted 😊 I would never go back to dodge at this point.

Im not sure how much i would trust some random techs to install this on a brand new car.
I actually agree and thought about the risk. It’s a LOT of money if something goes wrong. The biggest deciding factor is the other s650’s they been doing as well as the shop is completely full of mustangs. I know that doesn’t make them good installers but it makes me feel a little more comfortable knowing they do this type of work on the daily.

@@paulabes4220it’s all done in forscan which can be downloaded from their site on laptop. You buy the usb adapter to obd from Amazon. Just search forscan adapter. The settings to change these things are in the software.

Does the whipple tune allow you to take the limiter off? Also what is the top speed with the supercharger?
You cannot modify the tune. There is an option to change tire size and that’s it. The speed limit is raised in the tune to 180mph
