Golf Swing Forces for Reducing Draws
Also, ya got yourself a new subscriber. So when you go pro, I got dibs on the Pro-Am.
Looks like an effortless 7i, mid-high fade. If you don't mind me asking, what irons are in the bag and also, how long have you been golfing for?
The right foot gets further away
Literally seen no difference 🤦🏽
Such a good explanation of the backswing!
Yes 100% your hands are in closer you're exiting left a lot better
awesome video joe thank you 🙏
Nice swing bro. I’m learning golf and just learned a lot of things that helped my swing keep it up
Let’s gooooo
Mannnn... i needed this an hour ago when i was at the range😂😂😂
🧐 interesting ima try it lol
How are you going to know guys belong on the tips if they are not swinging out of their shoes? 😂
Take a step back from the ball 👍
Great opening line. I was listening intently 😅😅😅😅😅
Just got my first set of clubs and im ready to take on this sport (new to me) any advice is welcomed this way!
What does this promote exactly?
Best golf advice I've ever received. 👍
Had this same distance on Saturday - except I hit a laser beam 5 feet off the ground and 20 yards over the green. 😂
😂
Best tips. You will never slice nor hook again
You don't need me to stop doing anything!!!
I feel like this would just cause hip swing issues..
The right heel should be up at impact (look at Tiger when he dominated in 1999-2001). The only two great players that didn’t have it up were Sam Snead and Steve Elkington. People who say it should be down are promoting an unathletic golf swing. What is this teacher doing?
Wait, what. Now i need to record my swing. I am pretty sure my right foot comes up before i make connection. I drive around 260-270. Does this mean i should be driving even further?
Releasing above the knee makes u go across ur body and slice the ball in my experience
This is exactly what I’ve been doing! Thanks for this!
Where’s the tips 🥲
"That right hip get in the way" You mean driving with the lower body to be open at impact? Like every tour pro does? Wouldn't want to do that!
Such bad advice lol. Allowing the right hip to clear and the heel to come up is very helpful for good rotation and staying on plane. A lot of very good players do that. Go watch Justin Thomas for an extreme version of that. Forcing your heel to stay down is terrible advice and doesn't fix the actual issue if someone is early extending. That's not a downswing problem, it's a setup problem.
great drill if you wanna lose about 15 yards, literally how i control my distance, heel up means more yards, heel down less yards. best tip out there, swing your swing and get off UA-cam!
This is WRONG. You should be getting off your right heel BEFORE contact. Watch any DTL video of a PGA Tour pro.
I have this problem. It doesn't really start to f*** with me until I get my 5 hybrid through my driver in my hands, but oh man, do things go to hell quick then.
😅😅
Listen go watch tiger woods Phil Mickelson Jon rahm Tony finau Tommy Fleetwood Xander are any other top Pro on tour and their heel is up very quickly because they have already transferred their weight into their left side so the heel has to come up since more weight is on the left side of the center of their body!!
They’re good enough to know exactly what the body and club are doing. You aren’t. Do the drill.
@@akeyasa2228 Obviously you're too much of a noob to know this isn't a drill it's just faulty golf instruction from another UA-cam hack who thinks because you own a cell phone and know how to upload a video that makes you knowledgeable! It doesn't! sport!!
Great drill to help your timing. To allow more time for the club to drop vs being pulled from the top.
Moe Norman knowledge. 🔥
And that knowledge lead Moe to how many major wins & PGATour wins?
@@seanh8337 how many Majors did he play? He wasn’t really much of a pro but how many rounds you think you would have beaten a guy who shot 59 3 times in? Dude set 33+ course records and left a bigger mark than most tour pros ever will on the game. The stories are absolutely mind blowing. If you want to judge your life by majors, most people are losers.
With all do respect i am 14 and my club head speed 178
Well being 14 you probably have club head speed and total distance confused……btw, 178 total distance isn’t good for a drive, even for a 14 year old
wtf is this. dont do this to people. #golfbodytype
awesome tip!! nice!
Where you located Joe? After 20 years I’m thinking of taking lessons. Plus I’m a small channel trying to support other small channel to grow small and new channel. Plus I definitely struggle with weight and balance in my game. This was great video.
Over the top is the only way your heel comes up early. Slice, yank and shank . Golf 101. Excellent drill.
Absolutely not true
@@babaffos I actually tried keeping my elbow in closer ( maybe to behind too much ) and fore arm pointing up longer before release. It took a while to be able to hit the ball consistently inside a cone and the ball flight was lower ..but you're right you can do it ( heel off the ground early) but I would save it for against or in a cross wind. Good shot to have for me. I play courses with smaller greens that are mostly elevated so I have always tended to hit higher fades ..
Actually good advice despite what this PGA tour comment section thinks. It’s a great drill to help people who overextend or extend too early.
That's what I've been struggling with, will try this
All these dumb tricks to make you look silly out there. Stop
No tell me please
Pfff 1v1
Happens to me too. I'm zero handicap on the range😂
One of the two GOATS, Jack’s heal came way up off the ground?
Yup and Scottie. Ignore this video
Ya after contact or at the time of contact. Some pros used the back foot slide too. It's a matter of when not if. If you come over the top it forces your heel to come up early because it's the upper body turn that ultimately forces it.....unless you use a baseball swing that doesn't work playing golf. I can remember having issues when I was younger transitioning from school.baseball season to golf. Snap hooking everything.
Just because one or two pros do something doesn’t make it best practice for the vast majority. Does every boxer use Mike Tyson’s peekaboo style?
@@akeyasa2228 you're right. There are dozens of swing theories. A lot depends on what is the most comfortable and repeatable for any individual. There are some basics though and there are some things that are dependent on a players size and flexibility. It's not one size fits all. This drill is just to get you to switch wght from one side to the other while maintaining your balance. Some players slide their back foot forward and some players tip the whole foot on its side before picking up.their heel. Some players lift off at impact too. You can play around with multiple approaches at the range or training site to see what helps . That's what makes the game fun. Moving the ball around ..shaping shots.. that's how you learn.
@@stephencorsaro954Nah look at justin Thomas, heel is up long before contact
I know I know… but hear me out. The harder I swing… the further it goes!
😂
70-30. 70% of your weight on your front foot, 30% on your back foot. Keeping the back foot down is ok, but if you start shifting more weight on your back foot your iron shots will suffer.
scotty schaffer, jack nicklaus have entered the chat
Justin thomas is better example. But i ask And?
Ah yes, because we should compare ourselves to complete gaming outliers
