This reminds me that the devs once considered making it so that torches burned out after a while. Imagine being lost in the biggest cave system you’ve seen in your life. You used your last torch a while ago, but mistakenly assured yourself that you knew the way out. Then, one after another, the torches start to burn out, creating an avalanche of darkness that unstoppably approaches your position.

A really good video, but a quick notice: The event you experienced was the blowout, not the meltdown. Meltdown is not currently possible (you need the water level low), but I'm experimenting with ways to get it.
