Go to NR Racing and order a Ducar 212cc Rod and use the stock piston

@RCGRacing they want me to try the +20 piston combo I kinda want to give the combo that u didn't try yet a shot but if it's over deck that's a no no right ? It's all a fun learning experience at this point I'm no longer dealing with omb I asked what's the best rod and this lovely man sends me the 3.003 rod that dosent fit the wrist pin lol now taking over a week to refund my money lol

what puzzles me on this 3 circuit carburetor is that I don't see where the air comes from to the 3rd circuit emulsion tube. It seems it uses the same circuit as the main jet, trough a small hole, but the hole is covered with fuel, so the 3rd circuit squirts only fuel. Any thoughts ?
If I have a 0.042 main jet, which size do you think I should try on the intermediate jet ? If I add the intermediate, do you think I should reduce the main jet ?

I would love to see what You could do with NO aftermarket parts. Cut a dished piston to a flat top, deck the block to make it 0.00 deck height ,hand rework a stock cam , put bigger valves from a bigger engine in it , and much more. That is what We had to do when I was a teenager because there weren't that many performance parts and 99 percent of what was out there was for a 5HP briggs.
Interesting idea I will think on this over the winter.
I would never get a Mod 2 cam. But if I did I would go for 10:1 CR minimum and use 1.3 ratio rockers. The Mod2 cam is pretty much passe. The popular cams these days are the 265 cams. They work great for mild to moderate builds. I have a 265 cam from Dover Power that makes nice power in my 196. You were right going for a better carb than a VM22. The VM22 clone carbs work well but you are racing and need a better carb right away. I like the $30 VM22 clone carb kits. I use "economy" cams. If I was going to spend more than $100 on a cam I would get the Black Mamba jr cam from Small engine cams in Cali. Heard nothing but good things about it for many years. From what others have said it sounds to me like the ultimate minibike cam.
Very good input! I looked up the Cam you talked about. It is very close to a 274 from NR Racing. Adding it to my possibility list for next year. The MOD2 1.3 ratio combo idea seems to get talked about a lot but no real world testing I can find. My take on VM22 has been good for sub 6kRPM but there is a PWK 22 with high rpm tuning jet. That might be worth looking into on a MOD2 build.

I like your step by step build , showing the improvements each make . I get confused when trying to figure out what to use on these smaller engines. Now a 16hp K series kohler for pulling or a command V-Twin im good on .
Free HP, port and polish, ratio rockers, thin head gasket. Properly time the engine.
Most of what you’re doing can be done on a predator if I’m not mistaken. I hope you get a 420 predator and build it. Maybe you have and I’ve missed it. Keep up with what your doing
I’d like to see you build a mud mower for the next years top tractor challenge. That would get the sponsors name out and both of your channels. Even if you don’t qualify it’s still shows the sponsors name off. Just saying do the build over the next year. Also starting in January , you could do a build off. Anyone can do a mini bike, a mud mower is a different kind of breed
Type Maine Mud Mower into the UA-cam search. Been doing Mud Mower stuff for over 10 years. I got a rig in the works but Top Tractor Challenge is out of the question do to a few things. But we do hope to hit a few Off Road events in the future.
Im running a tq with an 18t on it and a 48t on the rear tire 13in. I'm able to hit and mantain 57mph im running a juggernaut driver pulley though. I can still wheelie but the driver pulley doesn't fully engage. I also hit the same top speed with a 13t on the tq and the 48 on the back. The juggernaut fully engages with the 13t. I keep running the 18t because I plan on adding a higher lift cam and ratio rockers to see if I can get a little more torque out of the engine. Rn it's a tillotson 212e with 26lbs springs, a mod 2 cam, and a vm22 carb. I'm going to swap to a .272 mongoose cam, low drag billet flywheel, a 3.308 billet rod, and a flat top pistion in a month or two. I'm waiting to do it all at the same time. Because I'll probably have to clearance the crankshaft and my tillotson is not okay with parting from the flywheel, it'll come off but it's harder than any other engine i own to take it off.
I am closer to you now on a fairly regular basis. If you would like some help sometime on locking the transaxle for johns cub, i would be happy to come help and offer my experience with locking them!

Does your tach have a max RPM recall function? I think it would be very useful for the drag racing you are doing. It's the only thing I use on my tach. Was very useful for tuning the main jet on my VM22 clone carbs. The jet with the highest RPM in a 100 ft full throttle run was the winner. What is your highest RPM in all of your runs?
This build never broke 6400 well under power the 252 build hit 6800 several times. The stock juggernaut limited me at about 6400 you could hear the engine fight with it. I use the 360 camera to see the tach when needed on this build. But in the past I have used a Runleader Digital Maintenance Tach. This will save highest RPM and take it one step more and let you program a red light warning RPM. You and others have asked to see that info in the future so I will add it.

The mini bike videos have been very fun and interesting to watch. The short wheel base seems that it would create a limit on speed. Do you have a top speed in which you would consider it becoming too hazardous to control at top end. Just curious. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Actually that was why my goal was 60mph. The Colman EX is a long mini bike but by drag bikes standards its a foot shorter than most custom brag builds. I think at this point it needs some form of stretch kit but no one makes one for this bike so I need to come up with my own design.

I see you are using a Vevor Torque converter. Do you know if the jackshaft is metric or standard? Is the key in the driven 5mm or 3/16"? I want a 5/8" jackshaft. The last TC I got was advertised as 5/8" but had a 16mm jackshaft with a 5mm keyway.

Good run i just messed up my crank for my duromax 208 trying to get the key out it infused into the keyway from using the wrong flathead i guess idk its all banged up now i have to find a replacement crank any suggestions to a replacement i put 22lbs springs with gov removed fully even the gear on the crank but thats destroyed so i cant for the life of me find a crank with the key out of it lmao these engines 😅😅😅 im not gonna let them get my soul never used a tc i get 50 on my ducar 212 with gov removed 60 rear sprocket and a 14tooth max torque oh yeah and a taller front wheel i believe that will give u a better roll time less gassin im trying to build this 208 to expand the life on my ducar been running it for 3years amsoil dominator oil i change it very frequently everything else all stock vm22 17.5 pilot 38main and with a grom silencer it actually made it faster i guess with the back pressure happy testing tho love the content as its all i have to do this duromax not many vids on them
It's a ducar crank so it swaps with most GX200 clones www.nrracing.com/GX200-6-5-Aftermarket-Crank-p/65crankshaft.htm
If it's a 208 any clone (54mm stroke) crankshaft will work. If you learn how to use a timing wheel there's no need for a flywheel key. Takes extra time but you can set the timing where you want without buying timing keys. Especially when using the cheap cast aluminum flywheels.

whats the bore size?? i have a gt18 that uses the same trans but i cant find anything on the bore size sense the transaxle pulley is completely fallen apart i need to replace it
Try drilling a few holes in the gas cap so the billet rod for the 208 is a 3.003 or 3.008

im installing one in a bobcat 440b skid steer. been a fun little project. skid steer had a 16.5 hp kohler in it that broke a rod after i got it running. the duromax is much better than the kohler was!
