Yep, been having this exact issue too. Even though the Tesla GPS shows we haven't yet reached the required turn, FSD will turn on a road prior to the correct route. It then re-routes. The incorrect route is definitely not FSD doing it on purpose.
@@SmoothSkySailin for me this sort of thing is only been happening on the last few versions so they somehow managed to break something while working on something else. It is a common problem in software development, especially when you push out a version with hardly any testing between version updates. Sometimes she assume you only need to test the new feature without validating that the old ones still work. But I guess that’s what we’re here for.

@@cesar.hcr.55 yes but this is the first time I’ve had this issue so they broke something along the way. Still can’t read speed limit signs that are yellow or orange and generally ignores ramp speed limits too (and always have).
fwiw orange "speed limit" signs are not actually speed limit signs. they are advisory, not regulatory

@@mavismoi1 I’ve had two Mercedes - Mercedes doesn’t drive you through turns and automatic passing and more on any random road. My last Mercedes did zero to 60 in 8 seconds while my model y does it in less than 4.
Thanks for the vid. I like tests where testers try to break FSD, but also nice to see a standard daily drive where it just works.

Hi Dr Don. When I was using FSD 11.x in February and passing through Georgia I found that it consistently picked up on the huge Minimum speed limit signs always placed after the regular speed limit signs on I-75. Very frustrating. I don't live in Georgia so don't know if this behavior might still have anything to do with your 40mph limit change which is coincidentally the minimum on I-75. Thanks for your videos which really help me to preview the idiosyncrasies endemic to each build before venturing out for my own trials.
@@waynerussell8621 I was looking for those signs but never found one. I did note it would set the speed limit to 40 when it goes into the mode of maintaining speed for traffic flow but other times it would also do so even when there was no traffic and it would slow down as if the limit had changed
you should report this to the TESLA team so they can fix it

Can you give any more details about the drive back from Atlanta? Good and bad?
@@chrvids5846 well it was a 12 Hour drive including the charging stops - overall was good - drove faster than I would like in some areas but so do the humans. Avoided a few accidents that would have been other driver’s fault (trucks straying from their lanes or two cars merging into each other). Was able to see lanes on construction areas better than me sometimes but not always perfect either.
@@DrD57 yes. If only we had a count of the number of accidents prevented….for a real world understanding.
@@chrvids5846 hard to come up with that for sure. Can’t do that for human drivers that prevent accidents either. I imagine Tesla could produce partial counts but they don’t even publish miles per intervention data at this point.
