Disabled Chick vs. Hair Dryer Bonnet
I've tried a lot of random products over the years in the hope of increasing efficiency. Here's a video documenting my experience trying a hairdryer bonnet attachment.
Disability side note -
I've had a physical disability for the past ten years, so I have to do things differently than your typical person. Most products are designed for non-disabled people, so there's never a dull moment when I try something new.

Losing independence can be very disheartening. I have bilateral shoulder contractures and, at times, impaired hand function, making it difficult to wash my hair. In this video, I share the adaptations and aids I use to wash my hair independently. It took me 3 months of greasy hair to figure this out, but it has worked great ever since. I hope this will help others regain some independence too. ...

Since the onset of my symptoms, I have been repeatedly told how important stretching is. However, I was never shown how to stretch with my ever-changing physical limitations. This video doesn’t show every stretch I do b...

Keep up the good attitude. I bought an Ioverra medical device for the Health Science Centre Winnipeg. Paul Winston from Victoria, BC came here Oct, 2023 and injected my hamstrings and made a difference immediately. It injects Nitrous Oxide to the problem nerve and kills it. He injects patients with claw hands and he can move them full extension after. The cost was $7,500 buy worth every penny. Dry Needling every month and that also helps. Weekly massage. Exercise. Keep Hydrated. My MD injects Nitrous Oxide in my quads and glutes. It is a process.

I’ve had my pump since August 2012, and I’m extremely happy with the results I’ve had with my pump. It has saved my life. I suffered a massive stroke in August 2011 and the spasticity was so bad that I was unable to walk. Since having my first pump I have been able to function and walk a lot better.

I have had an intrathecal pump for 13 years for a spinal injury and have permanent nerve damage. I have a 5 level fusion in my lower lumbar with disc removed, ALIF, PLIF. It has been a life changer and helped me with my chronic pain. I am unable to use Baclofen but use Flexeril and robaxine. My pump contains has Fentanyl and Bupivacaine. I get it refilled once a month. I have the bigger pump, 40ml, and it is a 6-hour drive, with breaks, to my doctors one way and I have a driver. Not fun. I have had 2 pump failures that were a nightmare of withdrawals. I fill fortunate to have the pump.

Thanks so much for your video. I will do the baclofen pump trial this Friday. I'm hopeful like you that it will help as I have done all that I can with pills. I had the pump surgery in 2012 but got meningitis before it could be loaded and even used, so after removing I chose not to go through it again. I have spasticity in my upper and lower body, but lower is significantly worse. I thought prior to your video that if I got the pump I would have to go off oral baclofen. Do you find that when you take the oral baclofen along with your pump dose it makes you more tired? Thanks for sharing 👍

I’ve had a pump for 9 years, I’m actually on my second. My first one lasted a full 7 years. I have 3 meds in mine, baclofen being the main one. Mine gets refilled every 35 days, which sucks! They could make it last longer, but my doc wouldn’t get as much money that way. My meds for my pump cost $1499.00 each 35 days, which sucks!! I wouldn’t trade it for the world though, unless it meant I didn’t need the pump anymore!
