Yes, protecting the paint can be a dilemma. There is a clear protector set that has been discussed by Brilliant Bikes. That came out well after I had my bike. The trick is matching the bend in the top tube. I decided I wanted the protection from "lazy foot" when stepping over the bar. Helicopter tape does work well in most other areas. @@matztertaler2777 Pro tip for applying clear vinyl protection to bike. Use the soapy water method, sometimes referred to as "clear bra" method. ua-cam.com/video/gRoqGwbhS-A/v-deo.htmlsi=Vc29XJXl12boAkMt This makes it easy to maneuver the stickers in tight places without getting air bubbles. It's unintuitive, but it works. That's how I put the helicopter tape in the hard to reach sections. It's best to do this while the bike is still new and pristine. Good luck!

Note, how you will need to cut notches in a piece that will need to conform to the curve in the top tube. The protector I have from Souma Leather does this with the velcro closures.

Where I see it listed at shops that sell Bromptons it says"sold out". I think that means not available yet.

I think it will be mostly their existing products they have in the queue since the G-Line luggage block is the same. They do need to improve the aesthetic of the bag for the electric model. From the pictures I've seen, it is ugly!

I find the bike a bit heavy to lift that high. I'm also not sure if my local stores would approve of putting the bike in the cart - perception of greasy chain and all that. I don't want to be banned from bringing the bike in the store.

I don't have that problem. Keep in mind that the rear triangle on the P/T lines is narrower than on the C line. That gives you a little more room. Plus I keep my feet straight on the pedals. It could possibly be an issue for people who wear particularly large shoe sizes.

Thank you. I don't see why you would have a problem fitting those to a classic (now called C line). The triangle and classic rack attachment points should be pretty much the same. The rear triangle on the new P/T lines is narrower so that becomes an issue if you want to add an EZ wheel extender. I cover that in another video. One of the main things besides diameter and rolling surface is getting wheels with superior "spin" that makes a huge difference with ease of rolling. What was the name of that bag?

I don't have exact weights, but they are very light. I've been riding the bike quite a bit, and no trouble with the Sugru holding the mount in place. I bought these primarily for the handlebar light, but Brompton only sells them in pairs, so I didn't want the rear light to be wasted. Hope this helps.

People come from out of the area sometimes to participate. Perhaps there is a similar event in a neighboring city? This event didn't exist until a couple of people decided to organize it. Maybe are are other people in your area who'd like this if they knew what these events are like. Don't give up.

The rack shown is the Brompton-issue superlight roller rack for the P-Line and T-Line available from Brompton USA or UK. If you have a C-line that rack won't fit. Brompton has changed the rear triangle dimensions on the newer models. I cover this a little in my related video listed above that covers adding the easy wheel extender. I illustrate the triangle width difference. There are pros and cons to both racks. The new rack for P & T line is much lighter, but doesn't have the same type of surface area for where you set objects. The older racks I think are better for holding carry-out and pastry boxes.

Unfortunately, some parts are harder to come by in the US.

It's the LIV Contact Comfort +. It has more padding than the stock Brompton saddle, but it is firm padding. It also provides some flex on the underside. You can see it in more detail in my other video: ua-cam.com/video/iOhHLoHZp44/v-deo.html

Yes, the local people really like their Cruisers. Keeping up isn't the problem - it's dodging everybody when the bike pack gets thick. 😉

I got it from Amazon. The make is called "HSU". They have different metal mounts and extenders available. Nice colors too.

With extender on brompton with rack, the center of mass for the bike will have even bigger area to move around till it is tilted. I have tried 2 x-rollers on racked brompton, bag + basket load 20Kg still stnad straight. ua-cam.com/video/m91tfT4AMLY/v-deo.html

I find that even with 4 wheels, because the main riding wheel folds on the right, the bike tends to be wobbly to that side due to the extra weight. I also did not feel secure taking my hands off it when the grocery bag on the luggage block was full. I mention that in the video. I really like the stability it adds to the bike even when I'm just parking the bike without luggage.

​@FunwithBrommie I agree. I have a P line with roller rack and find that the bike is unstable with a large bag in shopping mode. The bike also tends to fall when I'm on the train and it pulls out from a station. I'm in the UK so not sure if I can obtain this particular model of wheel extender.

@@allanb2906 I'd think your odds of finding Brompton upgrade parts are better in the UK. It can definitely be challenging in the US since the bikes aren't as well known here.

It's called the "4Monster". I got it on Amazon. There are many similar folding backpacks available there in various sizes. I'd avoid the smallest since they are so light you'll have more flexibility with the greater capacity ones. They are a great thing to have on the bike. There's really no weight gain and they give you the option of carrying home unexpected purchases.

Wine tasting has gotten expensive! I didn't go in.

It's an M. If I hadn't slanted them slightly for riding comfort, I don't think the cover fit would be as much of an issue, even with the ergon grips.

I have the M bar. It seems H bar issues are not as well known.

Thank you for posting. Interesting question. I would think if the final folded clearance of the H-bar is similar, then the distance ratios would probably also be similar. If you decide to upgrade, I'd be interested to hear your experience.

@@FunwithBrommie Ergon GP-4 works well with the Minimods on the advanced roller rack of my electric H PLine. Assuming you set them almost horizontally. Would be even better if I changed the standard wheels for 80mm (not larger) ones, but with the risk of the grip being very close to the wheel when folded.
