got the idea from @MORGANSMaintenance to let the wife guess the price of my #tools
So I let wifey guess the price of my tools and then told her the actual value. Bit of a lighthearted video. It got caught short because the dog farted

This is what Makita just came out with. Their whole storage system.
Thanks for posting. I just got one of these and have been looking around for ideas on how to organize it.
Thanks for entering everyone. I’ll get my daughter to pick the winning comment in the next few days
I dont have any Milwaukee power tools so if I win this I’ll sell it and donate any money I get to a food bank for christmas
Winner
Is this USA eligible? If so count me in
I got my hands on the 2nd gen model and its really decent. Alot of videos on people saying it's not tons more powerful but it's really an improvement. Now the crazy price tag 270 dollars is a bit of a shock I may wait for a get a battery promo. You will love the shock reduction in the handle great feature. Hope it hits you guys in the uk soon and hope for not 300 quid 😆.
Milwaukee!
I have a brushless milwaukee drill that sometimes comes in a set with that impact
Love that there are still people like you!🍀🍀 I would love a milwaukee i just started getting in to tools 🧰
Good luck!
Congrats on 100 subs
I’ll use it every day for work keep up the amazing tool repair videos
See these people only like you when there's a chance for something free 😆. It would actually be my first m18 tool as crazy as that is! I'll make sure to decorate a rubber boot 👢 with rainbows and unicorn if I win to put on that well used tool. I'll remember you when I'm using it to bash some screws in 😆.
I will take it lad
I’m in 😂

Oh my god
Love this🎉. Hope I win 😁
This is one hell of a steal
Seems like this impact has some experience in it. I'm happy to take it. Cheers
Ill take it mate cheers
🤣hilarious 👍
Thoes flex attachments never have been able to handle gobs of torque. That's why we keep ridiculous beater screwdrivers in our bags use the right tool ✅️. I like that your taking blame for it in the end it's our fault for letting gorilla's misuse our property. You only do that once. I have yet to try that screwdriver and never had much of a need for such. My needs have been met with baby bit rachets and scraped up hands 😆.
Since I got it the flex driver is my most used driver, I don't need it for high torque applications, I told him to just nip it up, even gave him a demonstration
I feel like that's all I do is teach people these days how not to screw things up. You only should have to teach them once but you know how it goes "how do I do it agian". Problem is when it's my own guy I have to fix it.
@@MattHmm-rq6dn they ought to teach them simple skills in school
Woodshop and auto repair are darn near non existent here. Even with a freaking sawstop table saw schools are getting sued into the ground. Today's window lickers are only gonna get worse at this rate. When I was 12 to drive the old Ford Fairlane I had to learn how to rebuild the carb before I could drive it. Even if it's not relevant now at least it was some mechanical skills.
@@MattHmm-rq6dnsome of the young lads I've had don't know their left and right
When in use to work with a larger crew with sticky fingers 👉 👈 I had decoy cheap tools on the side of the bag that were garbage. Now that I'm around trustworthy people I don't have to do that anymore. People know now if you borrow one of my tools I will be getting it back before the days end! If you have to borrow a tool more than 3 times in a week I buy them some cheap alternative or subs can go buy there own. Simple rule 3 or more go get your own.
I think I need to enforce similar rules
Do you have to use washer head screws or matstic every fastener in ducting over there? Or is there any regulation on that based on type steam hot air under x temp?
If the duct is maintainable like needs to be cleaned or if there's a fire damper then it needs to be riveted. Most other building vent can be tek screwed.
We don't see rivets much unless it's industrial. Foil tape and tek screws rule the land here. I've had situations were a joint needs to be really air tight under light pressure so a thick flashing tape (9mm plus) that's self sealing with with foil flashing tape on top. That's so no screw holes or screws move there's no air leakage. Such different yet similar systems.
As stable as a teenagers headboard 👍. Hard duct here under 100mil has to be strapped every 90cm . Over that it's every 15 cm there's a reason for such regulations. We did rigid 100mm ducting for a bathroom fan the other day through joist and you best believe the inspector held us to it. The only time we have to use 60cm extensions for my impact 😆 sometimes 3. You touched it you own it now 😔.
It depends on the regs and what the duct is used for, we hardly ever have it inspected but each job should have a spec or method statement which states how you should do the job, it'll say what tools you should use, what fixings and how often etc etc, we have to sign this before every job and then if there's anything wrong it's down to us if we have deviated from it. We also have a risk assessment which says how we will safely do the job and if we injure ourselves as a result of not following this then it's on us. It's all a blame game really. As a rule, each silencer and fan should be independently hung and we'd normally expect there to be a hanger every 1500mm. The key phrase we use is "fit as per manufacturer's instructions" there's 5 ducts in this riser and this wobbly one is the only one running and you can bear the noise it's making in the video, the duct isn't sealed properly and the air is whistling out of the joints. How it's not been condemned is beyond me. The jobs only been open a few months
You are a brave man haha lots of heavy and sharp objects in there . Hahahaha
Honestly I thought it would lead to divorce, guess I'll have to find another way 😅
@ hahahaha .
Hahahaha ohhhh i know the struggle
It got me laughing 😅. People in general always think "good" tools are aldis or parkside prices aka grocery stores basically. Every year I get some engraved expensive tool from the woman and its her way of showing she cares. Last year if i remember right it was a stiletto speed square with the level in the heel. Theres always a way to share interested even if you dont really care for there hobby. A little diy wont hurt ya for all the nice tools you get start small though. Every project takes and cost more than you think "just paint the living room 🤣 3 days later". This is of course if you have the energy at the end of the day or weekend I know I get barley a day off a week 60ish hours a week after paperwork ect. Do you work for yourself or a company? If its for youself i get it! Fun skit you have here i enjoyed it.
She gets her fair share of diy done, hoping to start building an extension over Christmas for her so I reckon that'll make up for me not doing other bits round the house 😅 I work for myself so when I get home I've still not finished work, there's always quoting and paperwork to be done.
Welcome to the real world like stated work never ends but we do what we can. I set a 70% work 30% paperwork bids ect ratio I try and stick too but never fails to elude me.
What tape measure do you have
It's a crescent lufkin 5m night eye. I took it out to 4.2m before the blade collapsed and it's so easy to see the numbers.
There common here in the usa sold a lowes very easy to read good stuff. They compete with fatmax milwaukee the pro tape market.
I'm subscriber #94 if it helps 👏. MM is the only other person i subscribe too i actually appreciate your interaction.
Cheers bud that means alot, it's easy to wonder why I do these videos but comments like this make it worthwhile
I see people with 1k subs or more with no comments each video it takes time. We all can't be NB thre electrican we all help each other how we can.
I hear ya! My sbld in guess the trades reload ep 34 has a metric ton in it. I was apprehensive at first but I have the same issue a flap. I had a tplc and found it way too small but loved the flap and gave it away to an apprentice in the family. If I had a bag I could liberate one from I would or make a magnetic one you could add like an awning. I'm glad you got to see the black magic 🎩 ✨️ that is the sbld. I do have one issue with the sbld I an get that thing to tip and fly across the back seat easily they could have made the base even wider. The only saving grace is all my stuff fits in the pockets tight enough it dosent fall out. To each his own! I hope I'm im the running for the giveaway 😆 gotta love that international shipping. Cheers!
Hey if you win it I'll post it, need to start saving up 😅. I've got an mb3b and one of the flaps may just fit but would prefer something a touch bigger. Gonna have a meander over to mm to see your loadout
I've been eyeballing a mb3 blackout myself to made a sling type bag. Reliable hvac did a independent 30ish minute video and really sold me on it. I just need to be patient enough for spring promo to justify the cost with a few accessories. It would be sad to see one cut up for the sake of science! I can see someone's original tpxl or lc something older. Feel free to experiment i was playing around with strip magnets on the sides with a magnetic screen but solid with maybe a single zip at the top. If you can make it work great it's an open source idea here. One thing that was semi workable was a shower cap that clipped onto each side d ring was semi functional but silly looking and not as intuitive. Mods are a great source of video ideas and views (even failed ones) . I also suggest commenting on bigger channels and when people see your icon they may be intrigued enough to discover you have a channel. I love good story's too like time you saw someone stealing your tools ir funny work stories. That's something only you can tell in such a "Fun" way!
@@MattHmm-rq6dnI was thinking of putting some rucksack straps on my tp xxl. I reckon I'll be able to fashion something on to my sb ld. I'll keep you posted
Veto makes a backpack strap set for thr mb5b and other models that would be a great base to start with if you modded them
@@MattHmm-rq6dnI'll have a look at it, it's probably gonna be over Christmas when I get round to it as I'm stacked out with work at the minute
If you don't mind me asking what's your work vehicle? Don't tell me a transit lol we all own one. I'm always curious about uk cars i love Mike brewer on wheeler dealers and other British car shows.
I used to have a transit custom but I swapped it for a toyota hilux. I also have a landcruiser as the family car because I live out in the middle of nowhere so it's nice to know I'll never get snowed in. Love my toyotas. Had a few lexus aswell but they were getting ruined living where I do.
I'm jealous you get hilux's and proper land cruisers. We haven't had a Hilux since 1992 (they called them toyta pickup) and my buddy has one that has 1.2 million miles on it blessed be the 22re. I grew up in Michigan surrounded buy great lakes which rust everything out. The smart people did a oil undercoating every year or two that's why that toyta pickup is still in one peice. I'm not much a fan of many brands besides honda and toyta. I mostly own fords but there cheap beaters that basically get scrapped once they hit 2k to fix. The Ford vans pre 2012 last forever we have one that's reaching 400k miles. I think the more simple the car/truck the better. The new land cruiser here has a 4 banger hybrid engine and cost 50kish not the spirit of what they use to be. Glad people drive large vehicles over there I'd laugh if I saw a ford excursion on your roads. The current work truck is 23 ft long and is wide as a semi for you guys. Needless to say it's only for hauling the dump trailer.
@MattHmm-rq6dn we mostly get the land cruiser prado (150 series), the 80 and 200 series fetch strong money still but because of the price of fuel they aren't very practical. It's currently £1.35 per litre here. The new landcruiser here is 75k 😩😩😩 but it is stunning. Mine has the 4 pot 203bhp engine and it's smooth and does what we need in the UK, but the alternative is to go for a land rover but they are so unreliable it's untrue. I love my truck but I'd swap it for a landcruiser commercial. I did 140k in my ford transit with zero issues but once it was 3 year old I decided to swap it
The closest thing we had to a modern land cruiser was the 2000ish that was full size suv here very big had a 4.7l 1uz with timing belts. As long as you do the belts they are at least 300k to 500k I've seem million miles ones. They were very sluggish but lasted then the lexus version which was the best gx 460? That one had power could tow as much as a 3/4 ton truck same but better engine. I love my big boxy suvs gas mileage be darned. My woman's honda civic 1.8l gets 20ish mpg so what's 14 at that point 😆. Sadly hipsters have gotten wind of these indestructible trucks and used ones with 200k miles go for 10k that I really can't bear the cost of. I'd take a van like Scott brown on YT has any day as long as it's 4wd or awd.
It becomes muscle memory when you get use to it. You get so used to where that said tool goes. Better yet you know when something is missing. It's a good thing since they cost so much 😆
Yeah, the only thing is when I got the strike through drivers the other week, I put the ph2 in my back, after the first day it's missing, had to put a photo of it on the milk cartons, I'm gutted as that's the only 1 I needed out of the full set 😅😢
That's the worst I got out of my way check the ceiling before I leave to make sure nothing is lost. I must sound like MM because I clean my tools before I leave the jobsite at my vehicles. That's a semi expensive thing to loose. Maybe it's time to try the socket cap version to replace it. The vessel impcta screwdrivers are a great choice with the reverse mechanism in it from a manual impact driver or they have ball grip spring model that takes power bits. The one the ball grip one has is serrated for screw extraction and I ordered a 5 pack of replacement bits for 20 bucks . The big upside to that one you can use any headed bit you want in it. The world we live in with so many choices. Our wallets is our only limitations!
You'll like that sbld. If only it came in black... my quick bag us about 18lbs as a sbld it holds a ton! Back holds a smaller meter and a m12 impact.
That sbld is some proper black magic and witchcraft. I'll do a video on what I did with that. If only it had a cover
Welcome to my only major complaint. The other one is the base isn't as wide as the tpxd or xl so when you slam on the brakes it goes flying.
What is the bag dimensions and weight please? Nice video. Thank you. Also what was the name of the spanner in you video?
High mate. The bag dimensions are 26.7cm x 28cm x 44cm. Weight is 3.75kg. The spanners are blue spot ratchet spanners. Hope this helps😊
@@Acevent-fitter Thank very much. Ive seen this back on offer at PMT and also on FB, someone selling their's as won in raffle. My only concern is the weight as i want to replace my Veto Tec pac LT as to heavy on my and chest.
@girishkukadia1293 I'm actually selling this one as I've moved to a tp xxl and tp xd. This is great but I prefer the vetos with the flaps so everything is accessible from 1 side. I would like the shoulder strap fitting on the TP's. The mb5b is quite good and I was considering getting one before I got the tp xxl
@@Acevent-fitter Thank you
@girishkukadia1293 I've just looked and these are less than half what a veto is (although you get a free sbld at the minute) I'd say these are worth getting for the value factor but they can get very heavy
That takes the Cake (stand)!
My daughter put it together. She took off to the garage with the lazy Susan and came back with this video., so proud of her 😂
@@Acevent-fitter I get it i was fixing fence posts when i was 6 on the farm. When you get them interested in what your doing its the best time you can have with your kid. It not rebuilding tractor and chevy carbs like i had to do but ill take it!
I defently like the refinement and making it work better for you. I own a knipex cabinet key folding one and love it. I had the pen with screwdrivers plus key and the snowflake style and didnt much care for them. Like you i dropped my techpack weight by 6 to 8lbs by doing some rearranging and its now under 40lbs. The only wera joker i like is the double ended spanner they serve double duty. You need an open end sometimes and theres little replacement for that but if its a fully boxed end then a socket can do the same. We use bosch/diablo(same parent company and coo) and maybe milwaukee(also made in germany) sds bits here. I tend to spend up on the solid carbide rebar eater + head style they seem to last years and years. I dont save money on oscillating tool blades sds bits drill bits ect breaking one in the wall or catching on fire isnt worth it. I saw the promo for the uk from veto and its exactly like we had in the usa this spring. Were any of thoes bags free or promo bags for you? Its the best time to buy veto!
Great in depth video.
Just had a thought on your light situation. I use to use a husky/olight carabiner style compact work light on the handle straps on my veto bags. You best equivalent would be unilight slr 1450 or the bigger 1750. Also recently milwaukee came out with a low profile task light that has medium runtime but is extremely slim. It's also all metal construction I got it for right after pipeline and only about 60 here. I had to dump my m12 light since it was so big and work with a few slimmer smaller usb rechargeable lights. I can't get much unilite here sadly the ir175 isn't obtainable for me. They have some bigger ones but not any of the small ones. And if it helps I tend to like the milwaukee lights since the Kelvin or color of the light is 4kish not that harsh 5-6k blue light.
Sorry bud only just seen this. For some reason messages aren't showing until a few days after they're posted. I've seena few of the slim stick lights that I wouldn't mind and would be ideal. The milwaukee m12 is great but it's just colossal in size
Hats off to you 😆 tp xd out of thoes 3 for sure 👍
Great choice bud. That's my number 1 bag
Still trying to come up with a cover for my sbld that's the one thing that's missing that's part of the appeal of tp bags
@@MattHmm-rq6dn definitely. They are doing a winter promotion and giving away some more sb ld bags
No promos in the usa sadly. Last month they gave out a free drill holster for 100 dollars in products from a few odd sites. The uk must have different promo time than us. I'm kinda jealous since your promo time hits around Christmas instead of spring. That sbld holds a ton in a good way though I don't know if it would work for you without the cover. Promo time people sell the free bags cheap so that's a good opportunity. I saw sblds for as low as 50 us to help people offset the cost of the bag thru bought. MM guess the trades ep34 is my sbld to give you an idea of how much they can hold. Theres always refinement with tool storage.
We got the spring promotion aswell. I guess they are trying to push the UK market abit, I've seen alot of people with velocity bags so maybe it's an attempt to peg them back a bit.
Easy stuff we put drill taps through 9mm angle iron all the time for mounting holes as big as 1/4 -20. 5 years later my m12 surge aka 2nd gen vs yours is still kicking.
I can't believe I waited so long to deviate from the m18. Just need the gen 2 sds and an upgrade on the cut off tool and I'll be golden
Good hard work! A suggestion if you use a shorter impact socket like makita like the e-12289 you loose less torque over a deep socket. Thoea makita rails are in every bag because they disappear into the bottom of a bag and take up no space 👍. There cheap as chips too keep up the good work.
Sorry mate, only just seen this comment. I do prefer the shorter sockets but sometimes we need the deeper ones if there's alot off thread to wind up so it just saves swapping them. In an ideal world I'd have a couple of the impact wrenches with a short and a deep on each amd use the impact driver for normal screws etc 😅 but that's more weight to carry to each jobsite and we are usually only on each one for a week at the very most.
Some good screwdrivers 👍 If you haven't seen them yet they make chisel drivers that have 6.35 mm square drive in the strike plate on the back of them (1/4in drive). You can still beat them senseless but the added use of a rachet or even impact driver 😆 (seriously) on them. I use mine with a sliding wera t handle in my main bag. It's the 932 s6 you can get singles.
Hi mate. Yeah I've seen them, been thinking about getting some. They might be worth getting for when I do rip outs as they used alot of thick slotted screws years ago and they are a nightmare to get out. I'm getting a veto dp3 tomorrow, been watching morgans maintenance loadout/review on it
That's a interesting bag i ended up putting that one my diamondback tool vest actually worked out well for carpentry. Get a sturdy belt if you choose to wear it on your side it gets heavy fast. The only belt i have that can handle it that's a normal one not a dedicated tool belt is "hanks reinforced belt" they are made for police and can handle extreme weight and not sag (metal banded or Kadex plastic banded). Good news it fits the m12 impact nicely.
Vessel makes a ball manual impact driver with a spring in it now that works well with any long bit you have. It's also a half decent screwdriver too. If i get a really tough screw especially slotted I have a koken manual impact driver that weights about 5lbs and never fails (screw heads break before it fails). Wera sliding t handles are dirt cheap at 10 bucks and work well with thoes socket cap chisel drivers.
I do try and translate stuff to metric if I can and look up uk model numbers on az uk if it helps you find the products 👍. I use to work on old German cnc machines and my metric is getting rusty!
@MattHmm-rq6dn in engineering in the UK we are only taught to work in mm. Imperial to us is a foreign language 😅
Probably his child’s swing
Til it rots off because your screw isn’t alkaline resistant
Great! Just don't hang anything off it! 😂
What the fu*k are you even saying?
Guessing you'll be hanging cabling or ductwork off that? There's a reason why wall anchors and plugs are used to spec, to bear a particular weight safely. If I saw you using this dangerous bodge on my site, you'd be kicked off quicker than you can blink and made to foot the bill for it to be done correctly by someone competent. Absolute cowboy shit this...
Clever solution. Just don't be surprised if it fails on a fire safety inspection.
@@Esgye01 or be surprised if you find yourself in a legal battle when the fire breaks out and this falls off the wall.
@@MrScotttomo82lmao, I’ve used weirder things to make the fucking plugs stay. And when you bolt something to the wall isn’t it just good curtesy to do a tug test?
