Join us as we spend 10 days roadtripping through all of Alabama - which is our fifth state on our 50 states by 50 challenge! We start off in Birmingham, then go up north to Huntsville to check out the rocket ship, then over to Desoto Falls where we see a bear(?), then hiking through northern Alabama, then down to Montgomery, then further south to soak up the sun (or play in the rain..) at the beach, and then finally over to explore Dauphin Island.

Cheyenne is boring.
Very interesting and informative video ❤
Corn to the right, Soybeans to the left, lol
My grandmother always served the Golden Syrup on biscuits.
Oh thanks, I'll have to try that!
Pretty nice itinerary, though there's always room for nitpicks. 1) Hitting Birmingham primarily on Sunday/Monday morning means you miss out on things like Sloss, Barber or the Civil Rights Institute. It's alright though, as Bham's one of those places with not a lot of heavy hitters in terms of drivers that make it a must visit city, but it is one where there's a ton of little things to explore whenever you happen to be there. It just requires a touch of research. Oak Mountain, Ruffner Mountain, Red Mountain Park and Moss Rock are a few of the urban area/ua adjacent hiking spots. Food's also not really an issue, as there's oldies like The Garage or Gus's Hot Dogs along with newer fare like Helen. 2) Lowe Mill is probably the other thing to do in Huntsville. They also have Monte Sano park. Lots of other caves worth exploring eastward, too. Like Russell, Stephens Gap or Sauta Cave (during bat season for the last one). But as you saw one, like Bham, this is overall a minor thing. 3) A bigger miss is probably skipping the Shoals. Though, as Dismals Canyon is closed this year, it's not as bad a miss as that's a bit of a must visit if going to NW Alabama. Still, the music stuff, Helen Keller and nearby Bankhead Forest are worthwhile visits. 4) Gadsden and Anniston which you probably passed through on the way to Montgomery aren't that well known, but they do have a thing or two to do. Noccalula Falls is the big one for Gadsden, and Anniston has some surprisingly interesting museums. If you had gone Gadsden to Anniston and not just stuck to I-59, you'd also have a chance to stop by Mount Cheaha, the highest point of the state. 5) You honestly gave Montgomery a better shake than most would. For a random thing there, the Scott & Zelda Fitzgerald Museum is there. The Alabama Shakespeare Theatre's there too, and it runs during most of the year. Fort Toulouse is just a step out of town. If y'all had a kid, I'd recommend the MOOseum for the puns. 6) Mobile on the other hand, got the worst shake. Taco Mama's a Birmingham chain. If you're going to eat one thing in Mobile, I'd recommend an eggs cathedral at Spot of Tea. The USS Alabama's the big attraction there, but I'd say to go to one of the historical forts in the area. I'd say go to the History Museum of Mobile (paired with Fort Conde) plus one of Fort Morgan or Fort Gaines in the Dauphin Island/Gulf Shores area. I'd also say go see Blakeley State Park near Spanish Fort. 7) If you wanted a more Alabama specific soda, then Grapico or Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale would be some options. Again, overall, these are nitpicks for a potential later visit. What y'all did is better thought out than a lot of people would do.
Glad you came, but you missed SO MUCH. Devil's Tower, Thermpolis hot springs, Tetons and so much more.
Thanks for watching! This video just shows some of our time in Cheyenne. We have a few other videos showing everything else in the state that we saw- Yellowstone, Grand Teton NP, Thermopolis, petroglyphs, Medicine Bow, etc. However, I am bummed that we didn't have enough time to visit Devil's Tower. We need to go back!
I am going back there in September at the end and I hoping there will be lots of bears and wildlife at Cage Cove that is absolutely our favorite place to go see mama in three babies last year and then a big male lots of deer and turkey and love having lunch on that big grass bill towards the end had a great picnic there last year
So cool that you saw a mama bear with her cubs! Cade's Cove is so beautiful. We had such a great time there. I hope you see lots of bears when you go next month!
I'm going to guess that Brian is a Capricorn and Laura is an Aries.
I'm (Laura) actually a Capricorn, and Brian is a Gemini. Thanks for watching!
Hi Traveler, I recently visited your UA-cam channel and noticed that it has a visually appealing design. However, upon further inspection, I identified several areas that could use improvement. One crucial aspect is search engine optimization ( SEO ), particularly the implementation of rank tags and tag volume. It seems like these elements have not been fully addressed on your channel. There may be other issues such as Thumbnail, Due to these problems, your UA-cam channel growth is decreasing If you want I can solve all these problems
