"Sometimes It Snows In April", "She Gave Her Angels" and "Another Lonely Christmas" are just a few examples. Prince doesn't restrict himself to only happy music. Also, he was singing "If I Was Your Girlfriend" to a female - as in tell me everything like you would one of your girlfriends. And the keyboardist was Tommy Barbarella. Prince named him after his favorite movie, Barbarella. Which is also the movie that Duran Duran got their band name from. The power of "The Morning Papers" is in the lyrics I think. Beautiful lyrics.

Great musically from one of his most unappreciated masterpiece albums. Considered a rock opera by the soon to be glyph. But all his so called concept albums were half baked. Never uninteresting though and musically adventurous. Which features gems like 7, And God Created Woman, Damn U and Sacrifice of Victor. Lyrically Morning Papers is not his finest moment on the album. Enough said.
