1) Water Source and Treatment: The water system starts with a well water. H2O2 injection is used, involves adding hydrogen peroxide to the water to oxidize impurities. Iron filters are employed to remove iron from the water. A water softener is used to reduce hardness caused by minerals like calcium and magnesium. 2) Main Filtration Components: The primary filters for maximum purification inclu...

Final Grading Before the build. The front was way to low so I had to add about 13" of dirt. Now that it is level to build on the trenching and post holes will begin. I finally got all the materials need. Today I spread all the driveway gravel back onto the driveway after the winter snow plowing piled the gravel on the sides. Also I had to build a work table for the coop project so that I have a...

There are two parts to this Super Coop project. The Coop 8' x 6' is where the birds roost at night and the Run 8' x 21' is where the spend the day outside. The last couple of days I have started working on finishing the coop and I will next start wiring for the electronics.

Being nervous about working 11 ft up on a ladder I have brought in my trusty 4' x 8, platform that I have attached to a pallet and pick up with the forks of my tractor. Corrections: The rafters are 2 x 6's that are 16" on center Yes I know the 6" Timber lock is supposed to be inserted from the lower top plate. I tried that and it didn't work as well for me as starting from the first top plate. ...

WOW, THAT'S AMAZING!! SO INTERESTING!!
Those bears are better than guard dogs lol
Why did you turn off the comments on your feeder video, its Amazing, did you run Cat 5 cable to the run?...I saw the power water cat 5 video, im building a chicken bunker for hurricane season, my structure is also 11 feet tall, but its being built out of steel reinforced block and concrete, its 11 feet tall because is a elevated coop...great to see another builder doing something very different.
Hi, Most of my videos are from a couple of security cameras around the build area because I am building completely alone. I time laps everything because I'm a very slow builder. I ponder every move I make, sometimes for hours before I make the next move, I need to think 3 or 4 steps ahead to make sure what I'm doing isn't going to screw something else down the line. No audio and time laps isn't the most appealing thing to watch so most comments would be about that and not the content. Thank you for your interest in the project, I'm changing everything in the spring which is June for me, right now I've been under 8ft of snow since Nov 22. When I'm done with the build the videos will have regular speed and narrated like any other UA-cam video. Yes, I ran 2 lines of Cat 5 (1 is for backup just in case) it will have 20+ automated systems powered by home assistant. I hope you come back to watch it.
@@apolloranch I subbed, I love tech, especially in areas that are not considered tech areas like a coop, a bit over 20 years ago I installed a structured media panel in my home, Cat 5e ran everywhere , RG 6 and 9 pin serial cable to a Leviton Toscana that controlled lights, I learned how to install the system myself, including putting the cat 5e together. Most of the system is obsolete now besides IR transfer, phones and some data, the rest of the cat 5e I updated to a 12v emergency lighting system, so the cat 5e is now moving DC current throughout the entire home, including 12v DC outlets that are great for changing phones and tablets...I'm in the Caribbean, no real winters here. The only thing I'm planning to automate is water, the coop will collect water and feed it to the chickens 100% off grid, lights also will be 12v and automated with a timer, it will all run with one solar panel, primitive compared to what your doing, but advanced compared to what everyone else is doing lol, keep up the great work 👍
