To record an electric guitar, you’ll need a device that converts the analog signal into a digital format your computer can process. This is where an audio interface comes in, but it often costs upwards of ₹10,000. For those who want a budget-friendly option solely for recording guitar, the iRig 2 is a great alternative. Simply using a 6.35mm to 3.5mm adapter to connect your guitar directly to your computer won’t work because the computer’s input isn’t designed to handle the high-impedance signal from a guitar.
@shubhamkundu iv used the converter, it works. I simply put it into the guitar cable into the converter and into my laptops mic aux port. it recognizes the guitar as a mic input and works fine with distortion and everything
