Great
Nice recap kaka by kaju
Cool!
This is great! (It is me from reddit btw) We are hoping to make it to Holi next year.
Well done, great info 👍
🙏🏽🇬🇾🙏🏽🇸🇷🙏🏽🏹
Thank you for your love from Guyana and Suriname ❤️❤️ I am sure you are celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi there too!
👍👋🙏❤️
The modak's southern version called Kozhukattai which is super famous in Tamil Nadu, and a staple in Ganesh Chaturthi festivities. Did you try that once?
Great video. Ganesha's history was fantastic. Enjoyed Garba dance. Awesome food specialty 56 Bhog.
Fantastic value. So much fun. I love Garba dance. Awesome food 👍
Did you enjoy Lord Ganesh's ORIGIN STORY? Thanks to Amar Chitra Katha (@ackmedia) for providing Indian youth with such a cool and amazing way to keep in touch with our culture! The magical intro would not have been possible without them 🙏🏽
Awesome edit!!
Haha! Thanks man!
Super cool and full of food! 🎉👌🏽👌🏽
Absolutely! Crazy week! I can’t believe 5 events in a week I covered 😅
Beautiful video 👍
Thank you 🙏🏽
Tobokki!
😂😂 honestly that was the ONLY Korean stand there man. Pretty sad. Although, Yonge and finch, the NEW koreatown is much nicer! I’ll capture that, come winter during the bibimbap season
Lots of delishhhhhh food. I love noodles 🍜 😋 😍
Hehe, I found some good ones now! Wanna go with me for a mukbang to one of these?
Haha the whole baranggay was there. Looks like you found a cousin asking you to speak tagalog....please 😊😅 Tiniklingchacha 😅😂😊 See you again next year Kabayan!
Haha! I gotta learn! I need the lessons 😋
Thank you for sharing Indian people is Lovely
You are very welcome @jrosealmendras88 ❤️ I am glad you enjoyed it! Welcome to the family! 👋🏽👋🏽🔥🔥❤️❤️
Awesome food. Can't wait to see the full video 😂
Yassss!
Full video will be out soon on this channel! So SUBSCRIBE and stay curious ❤
Honestly, I learned SO much by attending this cross cultural event!
Is this like the Southall of Canada? This area is great for all people who love to have a taste of Indian culture.
Haha! No bro! I wouldn’t call Gerrard the Southhall of Canada just yet. Maybe Surrey holds that honour 🤔 But in all fairness, Gerrard NOW is a much more mixed and assimilated neighborhood. With some of the original Indian tastes still retained and people being appreciative of it hence it was lovely being there 😊
Wonderful!! I liked jalebi making , ganna Ras, Bharatnatyam . It seems little India in Toranto. Well done Minti . Improved a lot . Carry on . All the best !!
Thank you Kaka! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
It is wonderful to see how Indian culture has been retained in Toronto Canada. Loved to hear and see the history of Little India. You even get Sugarcane juice😯 Felt as if we went with you to the event. Will check more of your videos❤️❤️
Haha! Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Definitely one of my favourite videos so far ❤️
Aww! Thanks broski 😊 Did you like the new style I tried with the documentary styled opening?
Progression of your videos are awesome! Great work!
Thanks for the amazing compliment man ❤️
I could try each of those dishes you have shown. I love that you do review on all the food you tried. Now i am really hungry 😊. Must visit Little India sometimes.
😂😂😂 Omg you’d need to do multiple trips there haha!
Love the mix of history and real places and things! Thanks for some awesome information!
I am REALLY glad I brought this out for you! How did the history class feel at the start?
@@ByteSizedJourneys it's awesome because I didn't know most of it. Very enlightening!
Thank you!
Loved the history of Gerrard Street (Little India in Toronto) Indeed there are so many versions of Mini India in Toronto now as you mentioned but the nostalgia and the vibe of India in Gerrard Street remains. The food (jalebi, chaat, kebabs) the culture and the people, the clothes, everything keeps reminding us our beloved country. Great attempt to showcase the beauty of diverse cultures Loved the video Keep doing the great work❤❤
Thank you! I am really glad you enjoyed it! So now I know I should include the history and description of the culture 😊
If you are visiting Toronto and wanna hit this place up for some delicious Indian 🇮🇳 eats, TL;DR 👇🏽 tripadvisor.tp.st/AhLn7Jxq You can thank me later 😊 Hope you enjoy this fun filled, blast from the past and till NOW cultural exploration of the OLDEST Little India in Toronto! 🇨🇦
Beautiful video, lots of Indian food, Jalebi was superb 👌. Great event, must attend 👍
Absolutely! Lots of deep history behind that neighborhood that I uncovered! Which makes the experience oh so good!
Love how you try to showcase the diversity in Canada. Filipino people are extremely hardworking and full of fun. Will keep waiting for the long video on Filipino culture❤
It’s really is very diverse and the Filipinos are very genuine! ❤️
Looks like very entertaining😂
Thank you! And it really was super entertaining and welcoming!
Believe it or not i have never been here yet. Though i think they were one of the first to start street festivals. I love taco too, love the presentation using mortar for the ingredients.
This was my 3rd time attending this festival and being a Salsa/Bachata dancer I truly appreciate it…especially this time when the cultural shows were really good! It was a bit Mexico heavy but I have to say it was amazing still ❤️
You are very adventurous my friend! Have fun always!
Thank you! Life is short; needs to have adventure and that’s what makes it worth living ❤️
I have never been to Kensington Market, your video made me wanna go visit it one day.
Let’s go there together! I know some good shops there 😊
Those looks scrumptious, i get yummy food from my neighbor so often i get Chicken Biryani, Samosas. I can eat samosas straight from the fridge. Great sharing dear friend ❤
You’re welcome! The BEST chicken biryani in my opinion is at Derry & Tomken at a place called BBQ Tonite. I’ll try to make a taste test review of that sometime! Additionally, have you tried chicken samosas?
@@ByteSizedJourneys I have tried them already but the one I had last week was a vegetarian samosas. I actually love it too.
@@FilipinaCanadian woah! Where was that from?
@@ByteSizedJourneys dunno where to get them but I will ask him and I will let you know.
Taste of Asia is great beacause you can explore the "tastes" in one festival, one trip. Did you get isaw and balut?
I did! So I have been seen this one stall called Coco Chef sell Isaw and Balut at their stall…and they are at all the Asian festivals! That said, I like their inihow (the bbq chicken skewer) 😊
I could tour the world by visiting your channel Bruh. I am in a travel mode ❤
Yasss! That’s my intention haha! Where are you thinking of traveling to next?
@@ByteSizedJourneys a travel in within TO is all I can handle right now. We had a hectic travel last July so best to avoid airplane for now. CNE maybe?
Haha nice! And yea I can feel you; flights costs seems to have skyrocketed in the last 6 months by a huge margin
What a celebration indeed! I have to make to add this to my list for next year. The dancing, the food, and of course there will lots to see in each booths.
Absolutely! This one was still a little small for the food offerings but fun regardless!
I would have tried the "KFC" too. Good one my friend. The skewers look so yummy and i would look for that too next time.
Honestly after going to this event, I see the same vendors in many other East Asian events! Oh and my ABSOLUTE favourites for KFC are at Yonge and finch - Monga friend chicken for the taste and BBQ Chicken (it’s a shop at the top of the H Mart right at Yonge and Sheppard) for the amazing service and portions
Must have been a terrifying moment for you? Lesson learnt😮 Was informative, though.
Sanjiv Kapoor is an institution by itself. His recipes are outstanding. Food in his restaurant is delicious
Outstanding video, fantastic filming and most of all great review of the food. And also the culture. This is one great way to get to know the great multiculturalism of Toronto. We all experience each different culture by visiting and joining these festivals! Thank you! Greetings my friend! Lovely to meet you 😊
Aww! Thank you for the AMAZING words Roberta ❤️ The food, the people and the vibe of any culture is what I really try to showcase in all of my videos so thank you for mentioning it! It means a lot to me 😊 And you’re right! Toronto is really unique in terms of us being able to showcase the wonderful multiculturalism here 🔥 Glad to have met you and I am looking forward to seeing you again soon 😊
