I had a few stems of lucky bamboo in my 5 gal betta tank. nitrates were always at 0, along with nitrites and ammonia. I made sure the stems were long enough that the leaves were totally out of the water. It didn't need any special lighting - just normal room lighting - and it lasted a good 2 years like that until I put a couple of guppies in there and had to treat for Gill flukes... the meds killed the plants :(
i have bad luck since,i put 3 Lucky Bamboo in my aquarium,my fresh water fish dies every 1-2 day, almost 3 weeks,i lost 30 fish ,even i change water frequency,is was not happened before when i have king kong parrot for 14 year life
Looks about the same as it comes out of my tap. There's usually a residual content of NO3 in the water supply, I would have expected with that much bamboo you'd be closer to zero.
what size is your tank? What is it stocked with? How much and what do you feed? Can we see the tank? How long has the bamboo been in there? What was your nitrate level typically at before adding bamboo, and how long did it take to get the nitrate level to where it is now? All this will help people (me!) understand more.
Great video! Could you tell me what are that little balls under the bamboo roots? and another question: do you use CO2 in your moss tanks? thank you very much.
I've been doing something similar for about 15 years and works great...except instead of bamboo, I use pothos vines for my tank. They root into the water and help a lot.
How do you plant these moss

are the bamboo in special soil or just hydroton? and do you feed it with aquatic fertilizer? and how long to see growth?
Hi, this looks amazing. Does it take a long time to attach to the rocks or how did you get it to stay in the rock. Very nice!
здорово

I want to put bamboo sticking out of my aquarium filter. I think it would look cool.

Where did you get all this bamboo?

Yeah at a pet store! If you plant it the roots will get the nitrate directly outof the rocks it y
