    I recently had the -pleasure- _privilege_ of helping transcribe the memoirs of Father Groppi from typewritten loose-leaf, and found myself curious to attach a voice to the words. Cadence. Accent. I wanted to _hear_ the words as I read them. So: thank you.

    It's unfortunate that black woman are not loyal to black man anymore,the best man in the world and black woman have no problem settling for second best

    • @jeansmith8658
      @jeansmith8658 3 роки тому

      That may be because, and I'm quoting you, "the best man in the world" often times does not choose a black woman for his mate. Unless you have been living under a rock, you probably know that. There does not seem to be a problem when black men are stepping over us to get to other women, but when someone else chooses us then it's a problem. Or is it better for us to stay single rather than as you say "settle for second best"?

      @@jeansmith8658 I feel it's best for black man and black woman to be together and I also feel it's healthy and important for black man and black woman to talk to each other about the issues we have in the black community and interracial relations is one of them,i should have said what I said differently and yes it is black mans fault for stepping out on our woman and we must fix that problem, ladies you must fix your problems as well because it takes two,the black man and the black woman must work through thier differences and create balance which will create the harmony that we need for healthy black relationships and family, black man must understand that we must make the first move in restoring the black family because once we get our act together naturally the woman will follow suit, so no it's not the black woman fault for stepping out on black man because truth be told black man stepped out first,im a black man but i have to be honest i dont like to see black woman with white man and black man with white woman and yes I will say it is our fault because we are the man,and untill we show black woman the love we once had for black woman than we will be able to fix the problem

      @@studiobeat9544 I understand everything you are saying and I agree, but I just don't see the black man trying to work with the black woman to fix the problem. Now that he knows he can just run and seek outside of his race, I think he feels that's a much easier fix. This way, he doesn't have to take responsibility for his actions.

    • @studiobeat9544

      @@jeansmith8658 I have to be honest with you,now you said you just don't see the black man trying to work with the black woman to fix the problem,I know it sounds corny but not with that attitude he wont,if black woman believe he won't then he wont,one of the issues with black people that I found every since I've been alive is black people for the most part believe in the worst in themselves so the negative cycles continue,we must start to believe in the best in us,we also have to admit that black people have a self hatetred issue in our community because if you don't like yourself as a black man then sooner or later you won't like the black woman sooner or later you won't even like your own children,if you don't like you you ultimately won't like the race you belong to so that's another problem we have black man and woman both have it so that's another reason why black man step out on the black woman,I have to be honest again we can't talk about the solutions if we are too afraid to discuss the problems and the longer we wait the worst it will get,so we must love ourselves again,also another reason why we do it,not me I'm just saying,the reason why is because we can now,back in the day black man would get beat up or die trying to be with a white woman now we can date whoever we want so that's what we do,not realizing that it's killing the black family and to be honest i dont see what's so attractive about white woman,they do not look better than black woman they do not cook better,smell better,dance better,the sex is not better from what I hear from black man so why do we break our neck to get a white woman,simple,we hate who we are,we have been conditioned to reject our African selves and it's embarrassing because I'm apart of the race that hates themselves and because of that the average black boy of girl will grow up with low self esteem and low to no racial self pride and respect,so we must fix the self hatred issue that both black man and woman have in the community and white people can't fix it for us we must do it ourselves,another thing I've noticed is that black man come up with all kinds of excuses as to why he is with the white woman and why he is not with a black woman I know because I ask black man why and the reasons they come up with are ridiculous and it's very very sick,and another problem we have and the reason I feel the black woman have such a hard time respecting us is because let's be real black man do not stand up to protect black woman the way we use to and the way we need to,we don't fight racism and white supremacy the way we need to we don't fight police brutality the way we need to we don't even fight for our children's education the way we need to,I have to be honest about this stuff and a lot of black man are scared of white man, don't get me wrong we can defeat racism and white supremacy but we can't if we are scared and if we won't work with each other because black man and woman are suppose to fight that together,so those are some of the problems we have in the community and I hope this helped some and I feel that it's very healthy to have these discussions,we might not can solve it all ourselves but we can raise the next generation to finish what we start,I have to go to work now so we can talk some more later if you like because I love these conversations

    Interracial relationships have the Love of God in them. God created all different races and colors to test us of our Love for one another. God is LOVE. God so loved the world, he gave his only son Jesus to die for our sins that whosoever believes in him will never die but have everlasting life in Heaven. Jesus is the Truth, the life and the way. The ONLY way to Heaven. If you know the Truth, it will set you free from the bondage of Satan. Satan kills steals and destroys. Satan is a Liar and Deceiver. Satan is filthy and nasty. Jesus defeated Satan at the Cross. Repent and receive Jesus as your Savior. Make the right choice. I Did. You have nothing to lose. Jesus is Lord.

    I was young when this was going on and Father Groppi came over the full streets on both sides screaming "were you new neighbors, were your new neighbors" talk about a bunch of ppl screaming and swearing, throwing things at the white ppl, we had to have cage doors put over our stores so they didn't break the windows with their bricks they were throwing, this was only 3 block from where we lived, I remember telling my dad I wanted to go see it, so he drove up to where is was and we stood on the side walk and you could hear them coming from a long way and as they came over a hill I got so scared, I was so glad we had Police in Riot gear standing along both sides of the street, they didn't say much of what they all did, all you heard was what the white ppl did, one very large lady yelled to my dad "hey honey want to join us?" he yelled back "yeah, meet me at the river I'll throw you in" I took off to the car and laid on the floor in the back seat and locked myself in, I didn't want to open it when I heard someone knocking but it was my dad, their was tear gas being sent out, it sure was a different time back then, that was one part of History I am glad I got to witness, not back when I was young but now I am, I could not stand Father Groppi, he did not act like a Priest at all, he got them all bent out of shape and ready to riot.
