Nice video. Just a little tip. If the wind is coming from one side of the island, the bays on the other side will be protected from the wind, so just head over to the other side for a more pleasant experience. In summer a sea breeze comes in from the southwest, usually around noon/early afternoon. Because of that its best to head to the south side amd southwest side in the morning then spend the afternoon on the north side. Pinkies, the basin, and geordie bay are great northside beaches and within easy walking distance to the settlement and the ferries. The basin is famous as a kid friendly beach. There are cafes near each of those. The other beaches on the north side are beautiful but a little more remote. A hidden gem is the beach near the old barracks, just south of the settlement. Id always recommend going to cape vlamingh at the far western end of the island and walking the cliff boardwalks. You can see seals, dolphins, ospreys, and lizards from there and, if youre lucky, you might see whales playing. If the wind is from the east take flynets for your hats. That wind blows the desert flies out to sea and they land on rottnest. They can make your day miserable. Hope that helps anyone planning on going. Ps you can actually ride the whole island on a bike in a day but probably not with kids - and you will get a VERY sore backside, unless you ride bikes a lot. Id always recommend getting the latest ferry back. It gives you extra time to chill at pinkies and the basin. The ride at that time can sometimes be a bit wild because of the wind but if you dont suffer from seasickness its worth it.

The food in Hunan cannot be compared to Guangzhou gourmet paradise. There's always a weird smell in the oil they use while cooking meat. I am sure the porridge can't compare to those you eat in HK or Guangzhou. The siew mai in Hunan is just glutinous rice with bits of sausage...not those we used to in HK or Guangzhou. After two days in ZJJ you will have enough of looking at rocks and your legs will feel wobbly as well with all the stairs you have to climb.
