My friend, Lorne is sharing one of the big, not secrets, but daily facts of American Indian culture (I know, but that one is "they" use among themselves, with appropriate irony, humor and sarcasm): Family Squabbles and inter/intra-clan feuds. Sigh... yup. Off camera and microphone, native indigenous first nation peoples will talk your ear off about relatives who drive them nuts. The Spanish conquered the Mexican indigenous empires not with superior technology, or diseases (that took a while), but with the help of jealous rivalries out of the empirical centers... Traitors, sabotage and feuds. (And colonization, genocide, eradication of habitat.. you know, our gift to humanity from across the seas.) Hi Lorne!

Yataheh Lorne! I have left several comments about you today (10/23/2024) on a bunch of related videos. I met you in 1985-6 on a camping trip with a bunch of UC Santa Cruz students. 40 years ago, I was the one who walked and smoked my pipe with you that spring day. I have thought of you often and hoped you were still walking the sacred path by the special places you said you'd show me if I ever return. I live in Washington state now, but, like the clouds gathering on an August afternoon, I will pitter patter raindrops of appreciation and good medicine from our sacred canyons and blue-green waters, and, salmon-like, come back to where something special was born. Peace, and full pipes to you, Lorne! Bill

I was at the Grand Canyon and had no idea there were people living at the bottom. Since then, having investigated the HavaSupai history, I have found a great respect for them to the point where I believe they live in a place and lifestyle that others would love to have. I'm too old to hike down there but, I might make the helicopter trip as a bucket list item.

Native American Indian seem to be like a mixture of Asian and European...could their origin be from the Vikings and Chinese who came across the land mass. Their culture/dances, etc also have a lot of Viking and Asian commonalities....is there any research on it....????

    • @hailoweenhailoween5264

I'm Native American and I've always wondered about this topic myself. From what I read we are genetically related to the East Asians. They say while we were leaving Asia, we came across a people of European descent, intermarriages took place and after we left heading for the Americas. Even the Koreans, Chinese, Mongolians have stories about their ancestors long ago leaving Asia not to be seen or heard ever again. I also read that there's a possibility that Native Americans were ancient Germanic tribes that left Europe, intermarried with East Asians tribes then came over to settle in the Americas.

Well for us Hualapais we are our own people we are decendants of the YUMANOS. Our DNA is not similar to any other race in the world. Bones on the caves on the Colorado & Gila River are 500,000,000 years B.C. DNA from us and those bones were tested & turns out to be related to us. Those bones are not related to anyother race in the world. 😊

I, back in 1994, traveled from Germany to the States. Fate and foolishness washed me to the Havasupi people, where I bought one similar red tshirt as a reminder for an earth shattering visit. With a big seal on the breast, it was "my precious", but later, I lost it somewhere, dont know which country, and still wonder where it is. I cant remember if it ever made it to Germany or stayed in America, but i i still miss it. Peace \m/
