Good video. I just swapped both out. When I started it up after, fan was still blowing and temperature gauge still stuck at zero. I disconnected the battery and now it’s good to go. Hopefully that did the trick.

This guy makes a good attempt to winterize, but you dont need to dissemble the backflow. Open all 4 test cocks and 2 shut offs to a 45 degree, it will be good. Be sure to close all sprinkler zone valves after blowing out

You’re eating cherries off a tree that has not been properly maintained. If the tree were meant to have its fruit eaten by humans, maintenance would include fertilization, pruning, spraying for pests, watering, etc. If you’re eating from a tree in someone’s yard or in a park, etc., and you have no idea if the tree has received proper care, you run the risk of this very thing happening - in ALL fruit/nut trees. Before eating, you definitely should ask permission first, then ask about the tree’s care. Looks like you got caught stealing cherries! 😂

My first in ground sprinkler system. I waited too long to call an authorized rep to initiate the system. Six week backlog for seasonal startup. Well meaning friends & neighbors have at least got the system functioning. Previous owner definitely did not winterize the system. External copper feed pipe split in two places under deck. When the rep shows up (early June) I’ll have a full diagnostic and schedule the winterization. Your video was extremely helpful but it seems my backflow valves are inside the basement rather than buried outside.
