Allar is QB 1 , both Sanders and Ward are overhyped projects, absolutely not 1st rd draft picks
Disagree. But think Allar certainly could be QB1 in the 2026 class.
@cpgmNFLDraft lol, What are you watching?
Taking deep shots mean you have time and his o line wasn't great so he was getting the ball out quick
Yes, at times. And that's understandable. Was citing a specific game against Cincinnati in which he did have time, and had he played with a bit more anticipation had opportunities downfield that he didn't take. That could very well be byproduct of the pressure he's faced which can speed a QB up.
*Shedeur was sacked 38 times to Wards 21. If Shedeur had a better line he would of passed for over 4,500 yards. Sanders is QB1 easily.*
Perhaps, but the data actually shows that Shedeur holds the ball longer than Ward on average in 2024. All of those sacks weren't solely on the oline which was markedly better in 2024 compared to 2023. Still, Shedeur absolutely has a case for QB1.
I like your analysis but the way you talk is as if it is a big gap between them and I know that you said it is not but it’s just the way that you talk lol but I think y’all sleeping on Sanders he has not had a good line since he’s been at Colorado he can thrive with a bad oline at the college level NFL that’s to be determined what Sanders is definitely better than yal give him credit for
Not a big gap at all. Just making the case for Cam Ward. This was the first year Cam Ward played behind a competent offensive line. The duration in which they hold the ball prior to throwing is almost equal, the difference in negligible. At a minimum, one of us has Shedeur as QB1.
much love to you guys, i haven't been present enough to ur content recently but i love you guys and ur analysis, tho sometimes i disagree lol umm i find it hard to articulate this type of debate because, of the projection (don't love football to basketball comps) and the overinflation of value, even the premise, that these two are in fact the top 2 QB's when i'm not so sure if we've clarified why anyone else is eliminated from the debate. but particularly when, you try to present shedeur sanders, two years running top 5 in sacks taken shedeur sanders, who holds the ball too long as they guy who between the two is more on time, thats when it just doesn't feel right, and were missing something from the conversation. There's times, his offense is being run like bo nix' oregon teams but less consistently explosive. maybe he's lacking a running game more? idk...i just feel like with both of them more sacks are coming at the nfl level. i won't say double the sacks or something crazy but, i won't say these two are anything close to stroud or daniels either. they are both essentially that caleb williams style, with maybe even more turnover worthy throws and less arm talent and mechanical stability. tbh with you they lack the footwork and athleticism that caleb possesses to be capable of the same type of play extension. i've compared Cam ward to Zach wilson, i think they're both spread guys inherently and the same type of upsides and downsides are there albeit Ward has a lot more reps and experience than wilson and it will help him. Sanders i've said is baker mayfield with less arm, but if you can make him dak prescott, you will have a top 15 and that ceiling is reachable. gun to my head i guess i go ward, but idk. they're almost tied tbh.
Appreciate you and this analysis. It's close between these two. Then there's a tier break before the next group of QBs in our opinion. Think your assessment regarding both quarterbacks holding the ball too long, liable to get sacked quite a bit at the next level is fair. Anecdotally, it appears Shedeur gets the ball out more timely but their respective average time to throw is almost identical. The largest disparity is when either QB holds the ball over 2.5 seconds. Cam Ward is the only FBS QB on average that holds the ball for more than 4 seconds in these circumstances and he's done so over the last two years. He's more adept at extending plays than Shedeur (not at the Caleb level as you mentioned) so that explains some of it, but it's something that he'll need to reign in. On film and supported by aDOT and completion percentage (may not be the best metrics for this) it appears Sanders is more willing to take the checkdown. Not necessarily at the detriment of being explosive but while he does hold the ball longer than he should, he typically gets to the checkdown or outlet WR with more consistency. Ward typically has more turnover worthy throws do to his gun-slinging mentality but it becomes even more pronounced when he holds the ball longer than 2.5 seconds. There are some parallels in your Ward/Wilson comp particularly with how they both can get lazy mechanically leading to some inaccuracy but the mental makeup is wholly different. Very challenging the quantify but incredibly important. Cam is leaps and bounds ahead of Wilson in that regard. His experience as you mentioned shows in his pre-snap recognition and control of the offense. Neither are "can't miss prospects" but the majority of us favor Ward's ceiling over what we believe is a higher floor for Sanders perhaps incorrectly noted as playing more timely, but definitely fewer turnover worthy plays.
I feel like people downplay how many short throws cam ward makes. I mean literally last game his TE had the most receiving yards. Cam makes the easy throws all the time. People just get memorized by the big plays. Also saying Cam doesn’t process is wild. He makes some of the best pre-snap reads, he usually knows where he’s going With the ball, before the snap is ever made.
Agree that Cam doesn't get enough credit for his pre-snap recognition. When he sees two-high and utilizes Arroyo consistently he's tough to beat. Think the concern (at varying levels) among us is post snap. Cam refuses to give up on a play. Sometimes you get heroics, sometimes you get an ill-advised throw across his body or a sack that otherwise could have been avoided. You simply cannot hold the ball as long as he does sometimes. That's what's meant by "big game hunting." You don't want to coach out of him entirely because he's a unique talent, but he's got to operate with just a little more urgency in terms of his mechanics and getting the ball out timely. Some, if not all of us don't question his ability to read defenses. It's more about understanding when to simply move on to the next down.

You guys are pathetic. Put things in its proper perspective. He chased down someone who was running left to right. He did not chase down a man who was running straight, full speed. I hate the internet fakeness.
Our first "official" mock draft of the 2025 Draft Cycle. Let us know what you think. Any blatant omissions? What are your favorite player/team fits?
Defense looked better then offense here
Now they’re teammates on the Patriots haha.
I mean if I was 20 years deep with help I would feel confident too
Its nice to see him line up in different techniques across the entire line.. I don't think Atlanta's really had a player like that in my lifetime at least.
Dammit I forgot what day of the week it was and I missed it
Very surprised you guys scouted ‘Bama and didn’t talk about Jihaad Campbell. Young player and so it wasn’t perfect but the athletic tools at that size absolutely jump off the screen. 5 star who really started coming on last season and has the potential to be a top 3 off ball linebacker in this class if they keep him there. A move to edge to also very possible given the length and athletic tools.
The name sounded familiar then saw that he attended IMG down the road. Didn't realize his class designation. Will definitely circle back around.
Will cambell was 19 years old at this time. Its hilarious how they pump the lambs up. Phase 1 of rams fall done. Now phase 2 and 3 will happen in 3 years or less, then we can finally say good riddance to the one and dones, most worst colors in the nfl, la lambs.
Washington defender is a dork
The route at 2:23 ive never seen in my life that’s why I hate 1 on 1 in a real game situation the qb see that you getting looked off fasho

Delmar Glaze took to coaching and by day three he was the best OL on the field. Crazy that the Raiders drafted Glaze and JPJ!
Welcome to the Giants, Carson Beck. 😀
That Penix fault. Hold ball wayyyyy to long
Proud to say Jalen McMillan is a Buccaneer!! LET'S GO 🏈!! RAISE THEM FLAGS! FIRE THEM CANNONS!! GO BUCS!!
I wish he was on the Raiders. Since the Lions just extended Goff with a $200M contract. I have to believe your GM called just for a conversation. Big opportunity in Las Vegas for a QB & he Definitely a Upgrade over AOC
Would be a shrewd move
