@@redivivaI usually film down there in the early spring and winter months due to heat and snakes in the summer. The pilots use the old abandoned bus as a waypoint. They usually have a squadron name out of Whidbey NAS painted on the roof of the bus. Last I saw was the Gray Wolves VAQ-142. Pretty cool.

hard to tell but I don't think those are growlers. River cross points are used as check points for target practice at the Boardman bombing range. Also a couple of low-level routes more or less follow the river.
Oh there growlers . Boardman and NAS Whidbey only support the growler. They rip through here on the vr 1350 monday through Thursday.
Hmmmmm didn't know that thanks. I thought they had the strike versions Super Hornets E/F as well. Wonder if they still do pre-deployment air wing build ups out of Whidbey? They did during Vietnam and that was only 50 years ago.😃@@JasonC1981
