Super Stock Diesel Pulling Truck hits the Wall!!!
OH GAWD!!! 😅
My husband gets to drive the nicest semi for Angry Farmer.
tuff asl
not sure I understood, what was the purpose of the sandbags in the bed? did the tires rub at all when you turn the wheel? where there any other modifications you had to make? did the rear sit too high before the sandbags for your taste? Thanks
Hey man you should get a flatbed put on the new truck so you can have tow diesel fuel tanks
My question about Wash Chems is does it strip off any waxes or sealants you have on the paint? Most of these high PH (alkaline) or low PH (Acidic) washes will strip the wax or sealant right off your paint. If you use a spray and rinse sealant after every wash it might not be an issue, but it's a big issue with me because I don't want to break down or strip off any wax or sealant I have on my paint. No doubt it works well, which it no doubt does as a DECONTAMINATION (or as other's put it "STRIPPING" wash). As a traffic film remover it's probably a great option. But you'll need to wax or seal your vehicle again after use. No doubt these products clean well, probably better than any soap on the market today, similar to Chem-X Stars & Stripes which is a similar type of system other than it uses both the High PH and Low PH soaps at the same time. Both products will no doubt strip off any wax or sealant though.
Easily my favorite tractor out there and a part of the reason i now own a 2805 as well.
Dude I luv the truck. Beautiful looks and sounds like it's pissed I luv it. That's one bad ass F#$+@!?+ Machine. Cummins Forever.
Block heaters!
What is causing the rev go up and down when idling?
500hp, 1200lbft.
Honest question, why keep spraying starting fluid when the engine keeps running on diesel alone? Greetings from the Netherlands, Mark
It is actually not running on diesel. It is running on the ether until enough heat is in the engine to turn the fuel on.
Is this randy overtons evil diesel?
EVERYBODY'S A COWBOW UNTILL THEY DRIVE ONE EMPTY.🤔i kee asking the tow truck drive what the hells wrong with your 5500..he knows im green.
😅😅😅 the thing vibrates, shakes, and wobbles like there’s no tomorrow
Who makes that gearbox?
I always thought they used torque converters because they didn't use a clutch pedal when starting off. How many rpm does the tractor need to start at? How do they adjust this centrifugal clutch without a pedal?
Only need a little either to start.... Thats the good JD 50% too
I think i bumped into you at a rest area in Tennessee while ridin my Harley up to Michigan this past June? I was askin about your new truck n ended up buyin 2500 limited after talkin to you. Lookin for same size wheels now but wondering why you said u put sandbags in the bed?
You did. I remember that. These are 33's, 12" wide. If you put a few sandbags in the back, it will not rub when you back up or turn hard right. Plus it makes it ride better.
Check out a shocker hitch for ur gn
Is there any chance i can ask a few questions about this engine? I recently found one in good shape for a great deal and I have never worked on one before. I am trying to put it into a 47 REO 2½ ton truck..
Did you need a CDL and what is the GVWR
Gghhji
nose candy for the extra kick
So the ether is needed because the air fuel ratio is too rich to cold start correct?
Ether is needed to get the engine up to temp because unlike a regular diesel the compression is so low on these because of the amount of boost going into them they will not start on diesel fuel.
@@150rhamm thank you I’ve wondered why for a long time
It's an RI truck dude your name just f****** sucks there are dodges out there that would put that thing to shame
As of now bootlegger is a dead name in pulling. The tractor still is around and pulls for badger state but the name and intercooler are gone
What do you mean? What happened?
@@dzl6848 the tractor is still around but they pulled off all the decals and im pretty sure they got a new intercooler. im pretty sure they call its its model number now
First and foremost, that truck is one badass, down to business, take no prisoners, kicking ass and taking initials because it ain’t slowing down long enough to take names, ego killing machine!!! After previously stumbling upon and watching the “internet video”, that you briefly mentioned in this video, where this beautiful truck was violently shaken… “to near death, throwing engine parts through the grill during an episode of the runaways”, as some folks commented on the UA-cam short that I saw. After watching that video and reading a comment that the driver and/or owner or somebody in the circle put out another follow-up video explaining what happened. I quickly ran to the search bar looking for this video here. Then, after I watched this video and hearing you say, “a valve in the injector pump stuck and the driver couldn’t reach the switch to cut off the pump and kill the engine”, a light bulb, in my head, turned on. That light bulb was just a simple idea that came to me… and while it may be a very simple idea, it is undeniably a very effective idea nonetheless!!! And the best part about it is that it’s tried and true, been used the world over ever since it’s inception and it is even required by law in most all places in the world. So, if you don’t mind, please allow me to introduce and/or elaborate on my “ingenious” idea on how-to shut down the engine, when the driver cannot access the kill switch, possibly preventing this violent situation and potentially other similar and expensive incidents from happening again, in the future. Now, let’s get to the “meat and taters” of my comment… you mentioned a “cut off” switch, for the fuel injector pump, somewhere on the dash, within the driver’s compartment, that the driver could’ve activated to cut off the injector pump, essentially shutting down the engine, because he just simply could NOT get to, mainly because he was being shaken and badly beaten, like a red-headed step child, when the truck started bouncing all over the place at the end of the run. In a concerted effort to prevent this from happening in the future, had the need arise, couldn’t a “kill cord” be used in the driver’s cockpit, just like what is used on most all boats and all personal watercraft like a jet ski??? You know, a short lanyard, connected to a cut off switch and the driver, of an open powerboat or personal watercraft that kills the engine, in the event the rider is dislodged from the cockpit and/or thrown overboard. The “kill cord” could be wired in conjunction with the original kill switch for situations just like the driver of this truck experienced, that way he could still use the kill switch, if he were able to get to it and if he couldn’t activate the kill switch, for whatever reason, the “kill cord” would be the driver’s hero. I’m sure if the cord was attached to his wrist with very little slack, it would’ve worked flawlessly in the previous situation because I’m sure his arms were flung and/or bounced far off of the steering wheel and far enough away that the kill cord could’ve shut the fuel pump/engine down, essentially eliminating this type of situation, while potentially even saving tons of money in repairs, moving forward!?!?!? I don’t know, it’s just a thought I had that popped in my head when you said that the driver couldn’t get to the fuel pump kill switch, due to the fact that he was being violently beaten to a pulp. Have a great day, be safe and DRIVE DIESEL!!!
The "Cummins killer" is a fuckin joke. The dude that drives the "Bad Company" truck which is a Cummins would smoke yu. Yu would need 3 turbos to beat Bad Company.
With all do respect to the Bad Company Pulling Team, the BC truck is a reasonably competitive 3.0 truck making around 1500 horsepower. The Cummins Killer and other super stock diesel trucks like it are making north of 3000 horsepower some closer to 3500. On occasion, a 3.0 truck will run the super stock class just for laughs and that is just what happens. I appreciate you enthusiasm but you are poorly informed.
Trucks are heaven ❤
Fire Fire Fire
Sweet truck man. The Cummins killer is a joke. They will need three turbos to beat a truck like that. Cummins forever.
That Cummins has 3 of the same size turbos on 2 stages just like the Cummins Killer.
Nice, how does the steering work?
It's electric. Boogy woogy woogy
“How does the steering work?”, you ask… well, just like any vehicle that is steered with a steering wheel. You turn the steering wheel to the left and the front tires turn to the left, causing the vehicle to turn left when the wheels are rolling and the vehicle is in motion. And, just as you guessed, when you turn the steering wheel to the right, it does the same exact thing as when the steering wheel is turned to the left, just in an opposite direction!!! Hope this helps. And remember… “DRIVE DIESEL”!!! 😂😂😂
no way
What is the name of this tractor?
Trailblazer
What’s the name of the tractor? It’s just like Red Attraction from The Netherlands!
Trailblazer
Thats awesome!! Just like Red Attraction from the Netherlands!
Truck made 2980hp according to the writeup in engine builder magazine. The diesel pickup HP record is 3,401 with an Enforcer 6.7 Cummins.
There are several engines that make way more than that or can make way more than that. They are just not in a chassis that is able to be dynoed.
@@badgearthe driver just stated in an interview with the No Practice Podcast that they are pushing 4400 HP to the output shaft. They’ve got some crazy strain gauges on the output shaft that measures torque which they can convert to HP. This truck is awesome and it’s great seeing someone try something different and succeed.
I just noticed the chain wasn't tight when he took off.An I'm a big fan the the Tinker Toy an River Rat. But just saw it.
A whole lot of cash invested that can be totally screwed up and you get no prize money during a 10 second run. Tractor pulling is for idiot hillbilly country music rednecks.
I remember that happening in Shipshewana.. I think the Dent is still in the Wall from Where the Block hit it..
By far the coolest pulling tractor of ALL PULLING TRACTORS! Esdon is the DSS wizard!
Where has he been?
Not sure, might’ve been getting the ol’ girl back together, be my guess.
The KING OF SMOKE!!!!
This is the only GMC pickup driver I respect
Id like to know how it produces torque?
If you think of a jet engine as a gas generator, it makes loads of hot, fast air. That air passes over a power collection turbine. As it spins, it gets directed to a gear box via an output shaft. The gear box reduces the rpm from +10000 down to a few hundred. Goes through the transmission from there for application to the wheels. Hope this is understandable
@mike-ph3fk yeah it is. Thks
@mike-ph3fk it sounds like a torque converter in a transmission except instead of liquid it uses air?
@@travisyayes6343 Torque converters don't make power. Gas generators make power by burning kerosene, or jet fuel to make the working fluid, which is hot and fast moving air. There very well could be a fluid coupler that behaves in a similar fashion to a traditional torque convertor between the output shaft of the power turbine, and reduction gearbox.
it doesn't look like they do but do they rub when you turn? SWEET TRUCK?
Oh Dear Lord! I miss those Ol Diesel start ups 😊
5000?
yeah im not so sure about that number. sounds like people are just starting to get over 4000 from perkins v8 engines in pro stocks and it would amaze me if someone got over 5000 from a ih engine or even a cummins.
Yes. 5000. The internals of the Perkins are tiny & cannot handle large amounts of boost.
@@badgear idk people are getting better at machining and making perkins engines better for puling. trailblazer and warpath and trailblazer's sister tractor got billet blocks finally. and they are building their own injectors for it too.
Went from 3500 hp to 7-10,000 hp at the flip of a switch
That John Deere 830 is called bulletproof buck his other pro stock which is a 6030 is called bull wagon
