I think I know that song….
@Radomperson96 We both know it. It’s almost like you were there….
@ maybe I was?
@ maybe you were
Good job. Hey, would you like to know a good source of free saxophone songs? I promise it's a perfectly legal and free thing. It's used for educational purposes.
@@Musicandhugsforever Sure. What’s the source?
@ThreeMoonsArc There's a UA-cam channel made by a (mostly) saxophone player named Carlos Eiene. The channel's called Insaneintherainmusic, and it's mostly jazz video game covers. For the vast majority of his covers, he has a link to download the sheet music for free for "educational purposes," as he says. He also has a great original album, but you have to pay for that, though the individual songs are MUCH cheaper than most sheet music that I've found.
He has quite a few Undertale and Deltarune covers, which you seem to be a fan of.
@@Musicandhugsforever Thanks. I’ll be sure to check him out
as a saxophone player of 13 years, you sound amazing! keep up the good work
@@jasperjones8401 Thanks!
This changed my lige
I’m inspired to make a series just like this one you made, me progressing over time as people watch. Thank you for playing for us
@@h.player6476 Thanks! Can’t wait to hear it!
Yoo I'm playing chrono trigger, great work on the soprano!
@@nomannic1 thanks! Those high notes tore me a new one lol
what is the context.
@Flopper823 we don’t have context here 💀 In all seriousness though, I saw his video and remembered that I had a tin whistle
@ i meant the song
@ “You Can Call Me Al.” It’s got the most recognizable tin whistle solo of all time if you’ve heard it before
@ never heard it, might check it out later
You got this.
This is a bit random, but have you ever heard of Insaneintherainmusic?
That sounds good!!!
Come on bro! Don't give up!!!
❤🎉 dont give up!!
You play very well. I'm you 60th subscriber, you deserve it.
Came back to see you doing very welll. Love your vibrato very defined. Keep up the good work!
@@acezhere2904 Thank you so much! My teacher actually told me to use more vibrato on everything because he said mine was really good. I’ve been really working on it for about a month now, especially on soprano because I’ve only had the soprano for a month
Ayo are you still interested in Paquito? You never gave me a way to send it to you?
@@Hatley-o7s I am, I kind of just forgot. You can email me the file if you’d like. What’s your email address?
Nice. I'm curious. Do you have a favorite kind of music?
@@Musicandhugsforever I play classical and jazz when I’m practicing but my favorite is EDM music, specifically the covers of EDM music
@ThreeMoonsArc Yes, I imagine it would be hard to play EDM on a saxophone😅 I'd say jazz is my favorite, but EDM is fun, too. Honestly, I love pretty much any kind of instrumental music. That's not to say I don't like music with lyrics, though.
keep up the great work! w song choice
❤
Beautiful, man
Which sax is your favorite to play?
Depends on what I’m playing. For jazz arrangements, it’s split between tenor and soprano. For classical stuff, it’s alto. Overall, I would say soprano because it’s what I play the most music with. However, if I were to bring only one of my instruments to a gig, it would be the tenor since I have the low and high range. I bring the tenor and soprano to church when I play on stage so I can have both low and high registers in tune and coming out reliably, since on tenor anything above altissimo G for me is finicky
@ThreeMoonsArc Ever thought about learning bari? Completing the sax collection?
@ I would but I’m broke 💀 My school has baris but one is garbage and the other two are checked out to other students. My school has a Yanagisawa bari. I played on that for all state auditions and sadly didn’t make it but it made me fall in love with the bari and I’ve wanted to own one since.
@ThreeMoonsArc That's fair. Well, I hope you're able to get one eventually.
Day 2 of asking for Paquito
Wait this is an old video whoopsies 😭
You should play Paquito!!!!!!
I’ll see if I can learn it. Send me the link so I can attempt it
@@ThreeMoonsArc ua-cam.com/video/CT7sWzLaywQ/v-deo.htmlsi=_ezluT2ozwaeO5lG
If you need the sheet music I can send you the files(this is 100 percent NOT a form of piracy don’t listen to the voices 🙅🙅🙅)
@@Hatley-o7s I do need the sheet music. I normally learn by ear but I have a feeling this is one of those songs where I won’t be able to do that.
Nice acoustics in the garage! 👍🏻
@@jennamcmasters2935 wait a minute…. 🧐
That's a pretty song. I like that you have the rest of the song playing in the background now. Nice playing, as always.
@@Musicandhugsforever Thank you. I just got a Vandoren Optimum ligature for it and I spent 30 minutes figuring out which plate to use for it lol. As for the song playing in the background, it’s how I normally practice and I feel like I am more comfortable doing that. Audio balance is a pain though-especially for that song
@ThreeMoonsArc, I'll be honest. I don't know anything about different saxophone parts or how they affect the noise, but regardless, I'm glad you have something that helps you keep sounding better. I can imagine that audio balance is annoying to figure out, though.

@MaxwellFraser-jn4kp Tell him I said thank you for inspiring me to join him. I love his tone on trumpet; almost makes me want to learn trumpet but as of now I have 4 saxophones and I’m dead broke 💀
Thanks for joining Ian Fraser in the music revolution
dude lets go im so proud
@@ianfrasertrumpet Thank you so much
Homie is about 5'5 5'4
So have you always learned to play the higher notes with the teardrop key or did you switch later? I’ve tried using the front for the sake of technique but the tone suffers and looses its color so I’m wondering if you think it’s worth it to work on maintaining a good tone playing front high notes instead of palm key.
@@Hatley-o7s At first I used the palm keys but I was trying to go higher than the high F because my alto doesn’t have a high F# key, so I had to switch to front fingerings. For me they also have a much warmer tone and they are better in tune. I would work on tone with the front fingerings because you’re gonna need them if you’re pursuing classical saxophone or really just proffesional saxophone in general. For practice I would do long tones from front E all the way up to altissimo Eb if you can get that high. If not, just do it to the highest you can play
I love your vid😍
Thanks!
Cool channel idea. I subscribed. I hope you become the next Leo P.
I don’t have a bari, sadly 😔 Valentin Kovalev is more of my idol than Leo is anyways. No hate on Leo; I just like Valentin’s tone more
@@ThreeMoonsArc Oh wow, he's good. I just looked him up. Beautiful sound.
@TheFoolOnTheHill_ I know, right? There’s something with his tone that just scratches my brain in all the right places.
This is so sigma of you
Thanks! My tenor sax player friend approves of your word choice lol
Get into the habit of using a metronome......keep practicing
this line is for a clarinet no hate
@gtolol7662 same transposition so it doesn’t really matter. It just depends on the tone you want. The original part for this was composed for a soprano sax (go look it up) and you can hear that in the main theme because of its wider sound. It also fits the music because of what Randy Newman wanted it to be like: 1940s jazz. Back in that time period sopranos were very common in music like that
no its not its for soprano
If thats your plan "Playing saxophone every day for the rest of my life" - congrats and welcome! I asure you, it will be marvellous!
Nice playing. I think it would be cool if you put the name of whatever song you play in the description. This is just a suggestion for future videos.
Im agree
@@Musicandhugsforever I’ll be sure to do that
As a 4 year alto sax I love your playing just try solidying a tone when your playing this can be done by practicing lots of long tones. It would really enhance your playing.
Thanks! I’m doing long tones on soprano, I just haven’t been doing them for very long as I’ve only had the instrument for a couple of weeks. I’m also doing them on alto and tenor but I don’t play alto as much as the other two and my tone on alto suffers because of that
What's this song called?
@@Musicandhugsforever Scarlet Forest. It’s from Deltarune
@ThreeMoonsArc I haven't heard that song in a while. I forgot how good it is.
I started playing alto saxophone yesterday and you really inspire me to start something like this
@imjd9133 Glad to hear it! I wish you the best of luck on your saxophone journey
I love this song! Out of curiosity, how long have you been playing saxophone?
